SUBJECT
1. This Court Memorandum is hereby issued by the Student Judicial Court to the
Undergraduate Students of the Loyola Schools, Ateneo De Manila University, to
serve as a clarification on the Filing of Petitions, which can be found on the
pertinent statutes of the court, specifically, the Rules of Court, promulgated and
in effect since April 7, 2015.
2. Filing of petitions may be done in either form:
a. Petitions in hardcopy can be filed by submitting in person to the courts
officially designated room within the courts working hours;
b. Petitions in softcopy can be filed anytime by sending it through
electronic mail to the courts official e-mail address
3. Official receipt of petitions shall be determined as follows:
a. Petitions in hardcopy shall be received by the courts officially
designated representative upon submission in the courts room;
b. Petitions in softcopy shall be received shall be officially received upon a
reply to the senders e-mail
4. The document Rules of Court stipulates that filing of petitions may only be done
for hardcopy submissions within the courts working hours within the semester of
the current school year. The same follows for softcopy petitions.
5. Petitions filed prior to the start of the regular semester shall be received by the
court but acted upon only at the start of the semester.
6. These provisions may, however, be suspended if the court deems that the petition
is urgent, as provided for in the Rules of Court.
