getting 6/7 in Higher level maths if you are applying for an engineering degree.
Any things they are specifically looking for in the application including

on your strengths in this course (Its better if you can write about your work

extracurricular activities are secondary. Its better for a Pestalozzi student to
show that their ultimate motive is to give back something to the community. This
can boost your application and it makes it stand out.

There is particularly one scholarship that suits Pestalozzi students. It is an IB
scholarship that covers full tuition fees. Students should cover accommodation
and travel costs themselves.
To apply for a scholarship one needs to be nominated from a school. To nominate
a student, a high school teacher must write a reference for a student. Also, to
receive a scholarship a student must get an unconditional offer from the college
and should make Reading a firm choice college. The deadline to make Reading a
firm choice college is May 9.

Essays are such that you can talk about yourself in the small word limit. At least
a few qualities you think make you different. Titles are not a necessity. I
personally did not have any.
When at first I was stranded, this is advice I got from one of the students there:
"Make sure you know about the school, spend time on the website or in your
viewbook to get a holistic view of the school, the events that take place that
seem unique/amazing, the resources, etc. The prominent alums that have come
from Swarthmore etc...Talk about how any peculiar interests or unique interests
you have / any unique perspectives you have can make Swarthmore more
diverse, will enrich your own experience as you compliment your experiences and
talents to your classmate's experiences/ talents."
(I contacted the admissions and I think when they'd had enough of me, I was
referred to a student Intern)

Application process
Common application
Specific requests for information and deadlines:
Any things they are specifically looking for in the application including
supplementary essays and titles:
Well known for its peculiar supplementary titles and very rigorous academics
1) They have six different titles and you can chose one and write an essay for
around 750 words
2) They also ask about your favourite books, movies and newspapers. You
have to list them or write an essay for less than 500 words
Availability of scholarships and financial aid (please be as specific as
possible e.g. number, specific scholarships to apply for, who are eligible
to apply, needs blind financial aid etc.) and application process:
They need high SATs and they clearly mention that in their website.
They offer limited funding to international students and its need based. So its
very competitive to get into this place.

Application process: students must submit the UCAS application which includes
a personal statement of 4000 characters
Common app/paper/own system UCAS is online based
Specific requests for information and deadlines (Must meet their conditions
to get an unconditional offer, the conditions may be getting 6 in English or
getting 6/7 in Higher level maths if you are applying for an engineering degree)
Any things they are specifically looking for in the application including
supplementary essays and titles
The personal statement must show your academic strength in the course you
are applying. The primary focus should be on your strengths in this course (Its
better if you can write about your work experience in this field and your
achievements related to the field) while extracurricular activities are secondary.
Its better for a Pestalozzi student to show that their ultimate motive is to give
back something to the community. This can boost your application and it makes
it stand out.
Availability of scholarships and financial aid (please be as specific as
possible eg number, specific scholarships to apply for, who is eligible fo
apply, needs blind financial aid etc) and application process
There are numerous scholarships in Westminster. There are full scholarships that
covers everything (tuition, accommodation, flights to and fro from London), full
waive tuition that covers all your tuition fees and half scholarships that covers
part of your tuition fees.
When you apply for a scholarship you need to send the admission committee by
mail the following things. Basically, you apply for a scholarship after you have
received an unconditional offer from the university. The deadline to submit these
documents is April 25.
a copy of the letter/email from the University of Westminster confirming your conditiona
or unconditional offer of a place on your chosen course
a copy of your transcript from your most recent/current academic study; al
documentation must be provided in English
a reference letter for your scholarship application; this should be written by a previous
tutor, professor, academic or employer (where relevant to your chosen degree course)
a copy of your IELTS/TOEFL results this is only required if you are an
International/Overseas or European student holding a conditional offer of a place on a
course.
Besides the above documents, you have to write the following essay.
Please use this space to write a 500-word statement of support for your
application for a scholarship

15th November is early decision deadline; 1 st January is ED2 and regular decision
deadline. They have Your Space on the common app where you can upload or
give information of two circumstances not reflected in the application (e.g. any
special award certificate or any other rsum) and a picture of you.
Any things they are specifically looking for in the application including

Good supplementary essays that also demonstrate service. Two supplementary
essays: 1. Elaborate on one of your extra-curricular activities in about 350 words
2. How did you learn about Vassar and what aspect of our college do you find
appealing
All parts of the application are important and a good IB prediction of about 39
points.
Availability of scholarships and financial aid (please be as specific as
possible e.g. number, specific scholarships to apply for, who is eligible to
apply, needs blind financial aid etc.) and application process
They have good need-based financial aid scholarships, among the most generous
in the USA. Scholarships cover study away and exchange programmes with about
11 other colleges which include Williams, Connecticut, Dartmouth (A VassarDartmouth dual degree in Engineering can be pursued and students can spend a
semester or two at Dartmouth.)
The financial aid offer can even be negotiated upon after admissions if it does not
cover all the costs. Almost all International students receive full funding while
over 50% of US citizens receive some sort of funding of at least 50% of total
costs.

Questions asked
1. How did you know about Vassar
2. What do you like to do in your free time
3. What, other than academics, would you like to get involved in at college
4. (Because the interview was almost very informal, with tea in a caf, the
most common question was what would you like to know about Vassar?
The rest was just informal chat over coffee to show how much you know
about Vassar and to show your interest to learn more about it.)
