Malindo Air said today that it had no right to stop a passenger from boarding among its airplane on
Monday after he purportedly attacked his female partner, as the airline had no proof to validate the
presumption that the male might repeat his actions inside the jet.
The Malaysian hybrid airline likewise directed out that the male's sufferer had actually not reported
the alleged assault to any of its crew participants during the incident that occurred in an aerobridge
at the Kota Kinabalu flight terminal.
"Although Malindo Air has the right to quit a person from flying, it needs to be justified with solid
proof," Malindo Air Public Relations and interactions supervisor Suresh Vanan informed Malay Mail
Online in an e-mail.
"Depending only on this case, we don't have the right to stop the said guest from boarding the
plane," he added.
Malindo Air added, however, that just if the female had actually lodged a problem, the airline would
still not be able to take activity as the incident had not disrupted other fellow passengers or
disrupted the boarding process.
He added, nonetheless, that Malindo Air is merely assuming that the lady was the male's partner, yet
could not confirm it.
He also mentioned that the aerobridge comes under Malaysia Flight terminal Berhad's jurisdiction,
not Malindo Air's.
The alleged assault went viral on social media after docudrama filmmaker Beatrice Leong uploaded
a photograph of the couple on Facebook and whined concerning how no one intervened on the
scenario with the exception of her.
In her post, Leong declared that the guy had attacked the tudung-clad woman on the head several
times till she cried while travelers were around to board the Kota Kinabalu-Kuala Lumpur air travel.
