I appreciate you updates and it gives me a springboard to have conversations with my daughter about her
classes. The e-mails provides ideas on how to talk with Daniel about his assignments and supply detail that may not
otherwise be shared. I love getting the emails; it provides us with more information than what we get from our
son. Keep them coming! I appreciate the emails as they keep me informed and up to date. As a parent, my
husband and I welcome receiving your emails so that we know what is happening in each of Graeme's classes and are
then able to talk about with him about each class. ...

I wish the school did something for Freshman parents to discuss the upcoming 3 years in terms of college prep, best
classes to take, what colleges look for, etc, etc. We have not used the wikis or webpages very much because our son
is on top of his assignments. I know he uses them all of the time and if we need to, it is nice to know they are there. It is
especially helpful when he has been out sick a couple of times. Everything seems great! I will make a point to check
the wikis and webpages. Our daughter is very independent with her school work so I haven't felt the need to check.

Current events segment of the course is great and has contributed a lot to dinner conversation! Overall a very
stimulating class. Many thanks. He loves your class! Keep up the good work.

Julie Hutchinson Comments:

Good work dealing with varying levels of math backgrounds. I imagine this is a challenge. However, looking forward to
fture years, I am not sure that opening 9th grade honors math to those students who did not pursue honors math in
middle school is best. Well structured class where he is learning a great deal.

Mandy Peaslee Comments:

Great variety of reading assignments. I'll have to read Mosquito Coast myself to follow the upcoming discussions re:
cultural comparisons to Ancient Rome. Sounds very interesting. He very much enjoys your class and the
subject. Hello! We were all talking about your comment when grades came out. Graeme admitted that he could do
better. Could you briefly explain what an in-class assessment is and how he could improve his work? He mentioned that
he could definitely put more effort into his re-writes with some projects. Thank you! "He should continue to work on
preparing for in-class ...
Catie Wooten Comments:
The honors projects seem to be going well. I was not sure how this would work initially, but it seems pretty seamless.
Thanks for your extra efforts to make this work. He likes your class, though was not enamored by geology. He thought
it went on too long and likes the electricity and waves units much better.

These are all the comments I got this

Number of daily responses year. I feel positive about them,
especially the honors challenge
comments. The geology content was
longer this year. Perhaps that
deserves another look.
