Election of PTA Officers

The parents elected classroom PTCA officers for the school year 2014-2015. The elected
officers are the following:
President: Emy Pagaragan
Vice President: Marites Singh
Secretary: Armie-Jane L. Laverinto
Treasurer: Imelda Acupido
Auditor: Michelle Bautista
Business Manager: Rowena Santiago and Franklin Sumait

Drum and Lyre

The adviser emphasized that the pupils who joined the drum and lyre would no longer
buy a new instrument if they already have their own. It would lessen their expenses in joining the
said organization. Some parents were relieved knowing that they would no longer buy because
they knew someone who would let them borrow the instruments needed.

Nutrition Month
The adviser told the different activities for the nutrition month celebration on July 31,
2014, Friday. One of the activities is the Parents Cook Fest wherein parents would cook different
dishes using the following main ingredients: tilapia, malunggay and mushroom.
Parents agreed to pay P100.00 each as a contribution in the said activity. Using the total
said amount, they will budget it in order to buy the different ingredients needed in cooking. They
further agreed they would be having a shared lunch on July 31 inside the classroom since the food
servings that they would prepare is good enough for the Grade V pupils. The deadline of payment
will be on Monday, July 28, 2014.
The following are the cooperative parents who will help each other during Parents
Cook Fest on July 31.

OLPC-SM Foundation Day

The adviser shared to the parents the proposed celebration of the OLPC-SM Foundation
Day.
a. The celebration will be on September 12, 2014. It will be a whole day celebration.
b. The main agenda of the celebration is to raise funds for the cementing of the
pathway from the gate connecting to the new building.
c. To raise funds, raffle ticket will be given. The amount of 1 booklet of ticket is
P100.00.
- Each parent will be given 5 booklets
- Each teacher will be given 5 booklets
- Each college student will be given 3 booklets
-Each officer of the GPTCA will be given 10 booklets

Seeing the parents reactions, the adviser knew that it would not be easy. But, for the sake
of the school and their children, parents are willing to cooperate to give their helping hands in
order to make the project be successful.
Others
Mrs. Mailynn Guerrero suggested that those parents who did not attend the meeting shall
pay P50.00. Majority of the parents agreed with her suggestion. The amount that would be
collected serves as a class fund.

Meeting adjourned at 3:45 PM.
