Personal Statement

My name is Tirzah Griffith and I am rising Senior Criminal Justice major, Psychology
minor at UNC Charlotte. I will be graduating in the fall with plans of pursuing a masters degree
and working in the court system as a victim advocate for victims of domestic violence or for
children. I truly have a passion for Criminal Justice and studying the law. After taking a
Domestic Violence course and observing courtroom proceedings involving domestic disputes, I
hope to better understand the needs of those affected by domestic violence. I hope to learn and
gain knowledge on how to properly meet the needs and protect the rights of domestic violence
victims.
