Christs Sixth Form Charges Guidelines 2015

We want to help students and their families plan ahead for the likely costs
associated with sixth form study.
Books and Resources
As you can appreciate we cannot afford to replace text books at the end of year
12.We will be providing essential text books and resources which will be provided
by the school on loan. Additional books and revision materials will need to be
purchased by the students to support their study. Students eligible for the 16-19
Bursary will be able to apply for the fund towards any of the costs below.
We have estimated the additional course expenditure and have published these
figures below as an indication to parents and students of the likely costs that
students will occur throughout the year.
Books titles will be recommended by departments and students will be able to
purchase them through the school or separately. It is possible to purchase many
of the core texts second hand through major online retailers.
Lockers
The locker rental will be 10 for two years. We will ask for this to be paid in the
first week of term.
Photocopying
Students will be provided with 2.00 worth of photocopying per term (approx.
180 copies), if they run out they can top up their accounts using their student
cards in the same way as they add to credit for food for the canteen.
Headphones
It is advisable for all sixth form students to have their own headphones for use
with the IT facilities.

Art
There will be a studio fee of 25.00 per year. Although most materials are
available in the art studio, you should also have you own art materials for
working at home. We sell an Art Pack which can be tailored to your individual

comparison with Art shops). You must also pay for photocopying and visits to
museums and galleries. Books for contextual research are usually available from
libraries but you may wish to purchase your own.

compulsory residential field trip which will cost 225.
