Description
Exchange/SQL/SAXXO System (Tier 1 Applications) availability
is 99.99% of Year
For Tier 1 Applications, N+2 HA policy will be adapted, as
maintenance window is not included in downtime tolerated.
Tier 2/3 Applications availability is 99.9% of Year.
For Tier2/3 Applications, N+1 HA policy will be adapted, as
maintenance window is included in downtime tolerated.
New SQL VMs must support the current failover mechanism
(Data Mirroring with High Safety Mode).
Exchange/SQL/SAXXO (Tier 1 Applications) RPO is 6 Hours and RTO is 10
Hours.
Tier 2/3 Applications RPO is 12 Hours and RTO is 24 Hours.
Support current mailboxes of 4500 users on Exchange VMs.
Exchange VMs should support 150 mail per user per day with
avg. size of 1 MB/message.
Virtualize Domain Controllers (Tier 2) to support current load
of 4500 Users.
Provide VMs required to host Exchange 2013, SQL 2014 and
AD DC 2012 on Windows 2012 R2.
Reduce deployment time of any further required servers.
For management and security concerns, Management Duties
separation is required.
For security concerns, DMZ is required to contain Web Farm
Servers.
Reduce CAPEX/OPEX of their IT Infrastructure.
Provide available capacity for 100% growth over the next 3
years.

Description
Existing budget of as little as possible.
Existing technical knowledge of FC-based SAN and SAN Storages.
Use existing backup solution LTO-5 fiber tape libraries.
Current Vendor relations with Cisco.
Customer has already purchased Single Storage Array for hosting Virtual
Infrastructure (EMC2 VNX 7600-FC Protocol).
Re-use current Fiber Switches (Two Cisco MDS 9148 FC Switches 48 ports
licensed per switch).
Re-use current Core Switches (Catalyst 6509 for Production and Catalyst 6504E for DMZ).
