V-Excel Educational Trust, an NGO committed to education and rehabilitation of children with mental and
developmental challenges. We are conducting a significant advocacy event for disabilities on 10th January
2013 in Chennai and my note is a request for sponsorship.
V-Excel's goal is to empower special persons to be dignified, independent, contributing members of the
mainstream society. A brief note about our services and a document on our achievements is attached for your
reference. More details can be accessed on www.v-excel.org. The Megafest is a part of our decennial
celebrations and revolves around the theme - Portraits of India. Our goals for this one day event are:

Demonstrating the talents and abilities of special children to increase awareness

Facilitating inclusion with the community in an interactive and enjoyable way

Educating and bringing alive the essence, diversity, and different facets of India

The Megafest is planned as a sincere endeavour to highlight the abilities of special children and young adults
who are multi-faceted in their own way, but unknown to the society due to its low awareness. On this
background, we are extremely happy that Girisha Hosanagara Nagarajgowda, the Silver Medalist for High Jump
at the recent London Paralympics 2012, has graciously agreed to be our Guest of Honour.
The Megafest will include exhibits depicting Indias essence, colourful performances by children, foods of
different flavours, traditional games, products and craft made by special persons, besides a few interactive stalls
and handicrafts from various regions of the country. We plan to invite children from regular schools so that they
get a forum to interact with and are sensitized to persons with special needs and their abilities.
The estimated budget for the Megafest is Rs. 615,000/- and the break-up is as follows Advocacy Event for Disabilities - Megafest
