Montage - Getting Spiritual

DESCRIPTION: A motivational poster for young adults who are thinking of serving, or
are currently serving missions. Meant for families to keep in a prominent place.
DATE: 29/May/15

PROGRAMS/TOOLS: Adobe Photoshop
OBJECTIVES: Inspire LDS families to act and to have confidence in their ability to
choose good things, including and especially the youth to serve missions.
PROCESS: Starting wtih the background of a wheat field, I added the images of Jesus
Christ and the two Mormon missionaries. I edited both to have an opaque effect.
Following that, I added the text as an overlay, but didnt like how the scripture in the top
left was being lost in the background of the sky. I added a colored box behind it to bring
it out.

Logos - Fun, and simple

DESCRIPTION: A simple logo for an online YouTube channel and podcast
DATE: 5/June/15
COURSE/INSTRUCTOR: COMM135, Visual Media
PROGRAMS/TOOLS: Adobe Illustrator
OBJECTIVES: Built for an online podcast, this logo is for personal use on YouTube,
SoundCloud and other social sharing mediums.
PROCESS: I started with basic shapes like squares and circles, then sliced the circles in
two to make the headphones and the hair for the little mans face. After that, I increased
the thickness of the lines, added different fill colors, and finished with generating a new
font for my text, combining elements of the D in DOME with the left-side headphone.
Color Scheme: Complimentary Blue and Red

Photodesign - Natural Beauty

DESCRIPTION: A simple motivational meme, focuses on light and learning to follow the
positive in life.

PROGRAMS/TOOLS: Photoshop, Apple iPad Mini, focus on foreground
OBJECTIVES: Motivate and help women to be positive, even in adversity. The audience is
women at or above teen years
PROCESS: I took a photo using my iPhone, and using the simple editing software of the
Photos app, I brought out the color of the flowers and grass. Following that, I touched it
up in Photoshop, adding text as an overlay.
Color scheme and color names: Complementary, green and red (pink)

Webpage - Going Global

DESCRIPTION: A simple showcase for my logo.

COURSE/INSTRUCTOR: COMM135, Visual Media
PROGRAMS/TOOLS: Photoshop, TextWrangler, and used HTML and CSS coding.
OBJECTIVES: Show off my logo to college students who might be interested in how I
went about my process.
PROCESS: I started with a previous assignment that wed completed in class, and making
minor adjustments to color, alignment and fonts, I was done.
Color scheme and color hex(s): Monochromatic, 00aeef for light blue, 006b95 for darker blue
Title Font Families & Category: Sans-Serif, Verdana
Copy Font Families & Category: Modern, Times New Roman
Changes made to the CSS: Changed the background to a solid color, changed hues of
blue for background and box around body, arranged boxes within document a bit more
flush to the outline of the outer rim.

bottom of the page.

PROCESS: I placed the background in first, followed by pictures and text with borders
around them. The front cover was last, and the logo was hand made as well.

OBJECTIVES: Inform individuals about the charity event.

PROCESS: After experimenting a bit with the tools, I decided I liked the repetition of the
circle in the photo, and made that my base. I followed that up with layering text and the
image.
