FROM THE CHAIRMAN

For more than 45 years, Festival Paduan Suara Institut Teknologi Bandung (FPS
ITB), organized by Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Bandung, has
succeeded in allowing undiscovered talents in choral music to emerge from all
corners of Indonesia. The festival, now about to be held the 24th time, has become
a place for Indonesian choirs to show their talents and uniqueness, coloring the
world of Indonesian choral music. The festival has also become a means for
Indonesian choirs to develop their choral skills in order to compete with other choirs
in international competitions and bring about the national pride.
Armed with the desire to create a place for Indonesian choirs to compete with
choirs all around the world, PSM-ITB successfully held the 1st ITB International Choir
Competition on 2010. Now, we have the urge to introduce and promote Indonesian
culture and to make friends and strengthen our friendship with choirs outside
Indonesia. Thus, along with FPS XXIV ITB 2015, we created the 2nd ITB International
Choir Competition 2015.
Each person has a different voice, but a good choir will tackle the differences and
unite the diverse voices to produce harmony and perform beautiful songs. Choirs
as a whole also have their own characteristics. These different characteristics are
never a problem. They harmonize, enriching the world of choral music with their
diversity. Through the theme that we picked for the competition, Harmony in
Diversity, we sincerely hope that choirs from Indonesia and all around the world can
show their characteristics and uniqueness with pride.
PSM-ITB as the organizing committee hoped that the FPS XXIV 2015 and 2nd IICC
2015 serves not just as a place to compete, but a place to learn, enjoy the festivity,
have fun, and make friends with other choirs. This event can also be the place to
expand our knowledge about the different cultures in Indonesia and around the
globe.

KATA SAMBUTAN
Selama lebih dari 45 tahun, Festival Paduan Suara Institut Teknologi Bandung (FPS
ITB) yang diadakan oleh Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Bandung
(PSM-ITB) telah berhasil memunculkan talenta-talenta paduan suara di seluruh
penjuru Indonesia. Festival yang akan diadakan ke-24 kalinya pada tahun 2015 ini
telah menjadi a jang bagi paduan suara Indonesia untuk menunjukkan bakat dan
keunikannya masing-masing dalam mewarnai seni paduan suara Indonesia.
Festival ini pun menjadi sarana pengembangan musikalitas paduan suara di
Indonesia untuk dapat berkompetisi di luar negeri dan membawa kebanggaan
bagi Indonesia.
Kemudian dengan berbekal keinginan untuk memberi wadah bagi paduan suara
Indonesia agar dapat berkompetisi dengan paduan suara mancanegara, PSM-ITB
telah berhasil mengadakan 1st ITB International Choir Competition pada tahun
2010 lalu. Dengan keinginan yang lebih lagi, yakni memperkenalkan budaya
Indonesia serta menjalin tali persaudaraan dengan paduan suara luar Indonesia,
serangkaian dengan FPS XXIV ITB, akan diadakan 2nd ITB International Choir
Competition pada tahun 2015.
Setiap orang memiliki warna suara yang berbeda-beda. Namun demikian, suatu
paduan suara yang baik dapat menyatukan perbedaan tersebut melalui
harmonisasi sehingga menghasilkan suatu bunyi yang padu dan melantunkan lagu
yang indah. Demikian pula setiap paduan suara memiliki ciri khas dan keunikannya
masing-masing. Perbedaan yang ada tidak menjadi suatu masalah namun justru
memperkaya warna paduan suara dan membentuk suatu harmoni. Melalui tema

yang diusung untuk FPS XXIV ITB dan 2 IICC 2015: Harmony in Diversity,
diharapkan seluruh paduan suara di Indonesia dan mancanegara dengan bangga
menunjukkan keunikan dan ciri khasnya masing-masing.

PSM-ITB secara khusus berharap bahwa FPS XXIV ITB dan 2 IICC 2015 tidak hanya
menjadi a jang untuk berkompetisi, namun juga menjadi tempat untuk bela jar,
berpesta dan bersenang-senang, serta dapat mempererat tali persaudaraan
antarpaduan suara baik Indonesia maupun mancanegara. Rangkaian acara ini
juga dapat menjadi a jang pertukaran kebudayaan sehingga memperkaya
pengetahuan kita akan budaya dan kultur di Indonesia serta mancanegara.

Catharina Wiriadinata
Leimena
She has been involved in the world of choral music for nearly thirty years. She
graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi Milano Conservatory, Italy. She is a singer,
lecturer, and vocal teacher. She received the "Golden Artist & Teacher's Award"
from Yayasan Pendidikan Musik at their 50th anniversary. She is also the founder
and president director of Susvara Opera Company.

Telah terlibat dalam dunia paduan suara selama hampir tiga puluh tahun. Lulusan
dari Conservatorium Giuseppe Verdi Milano, Italia ini adalah seorang penyanyi,
dosen, dan penga jar vokal. Mendapatkan penghargaan Golden Artist & Teacher's
Award pada ulang tahun ke-50 Yayasan Pendidikan Musik (YPM). Pendiri dan
Presiden Direktur Susvara Opera Company.

Jonathan Velasco

Jonathan Velasco is a much sought after choral conductor, clinician and

adjudicator in the world today. He studied at the University of the Philippines
College of Music and at the Berliner Kirchenmusikshule in Germany. He was a
member and assistant conductor of the World Youth Choir and for the 1996 summer
session became its first Asian conductor.

Jonathan Velasco adalah dirigen, penga jar, dan juri yang terkenal di dunia paduan
suara saat ini. Beliau menempuh pendidikan di University of the Philippines College
of Music dan Berliner Kirchenmusikshule di Jerman. Beliau adalah anggota dan
asisten dirigen World Youth Choir, dan pada tahun 1996 menjadi dirigen pertama
yang berasal dari Asia.

Velasco regularly holds choral clinics and workshops in the Philippines and all over
the world. Together with his choirs, he has won first prizes in choral competitions in
Maribor (Slovenia), Cork (Ireland), Marktoberdorf (Germany), and Tolosa (Spain).
He has also been a member of the jury in prestigious choral competitions in Europe
and Asia. He currently conducts the Ateneo Chamber Singers.

Velasco mengadakan klinik paduan suara dan beragam lokakarya di Filipina dan
berbagai belahan dunia secara berkala. Bersama dengan paduan suara yang
beliau pimpin, beliau telah memenangkan kompetisi paduan suara di Maribor
(Slovenia), Cork (Irlandia), Marktoberdorf (Jerman), dan Tolosa (Spanyol). Beliau
juga pernah menjadi juri di berbagai kompetisi paduan suara bergengsi di Eropa
dan Asia. Saat ini beliau adalah dirigen Ateneo Chamber Singers.

Velasco is an adviser to the board of the International Federation for Choral Music,
and is the Philippines' representative to the World Choir Council. He was a member
of the Artistic Committee of the Polyfollia Festival in Normandy, France, from 2005
to 2012. In 2008, he was elected the first President of the newly formed Philippine
Choral Directors Association.

Velasco adalah penasihat untuk International Federation of Choral Music, dan

merupakan perwakilan Filipina untuk World Choir Council. Beliau adalah anggota
panitia artistik Polyfollia Festival di Normandia, Prancis, pada tahun 2005 sampai
dengan 2012. Pada tahun 2008, beliau terpilih menjadi presiden Philippines Choral
Directors Association yang baru terbentuk.

Budi Utomo Prabowo

(Tommy)
Born in Semarang and started to play piano at early age, he studied in Indonesian
Institute of the Art ma joring in violin. Before graduating, he moved to Jakarta in
1988. Further studies include one semester in Juilliard School in piano
accompanying and music theory, and conducting in Musikhochschule Freiburg,
Germany where he got his Master Degree in 2006. He worked occasionally with
ensembles such as the Freiburger Bachchor and the Freiburger Kammerorchester.
Guest conducted some Jakarta orchestras include Twilite Youth Orchestra,
Camerata Symphony Orchestra and Nusantara Symphony Orchestra. He was
invited as a jury for choir competition throughout the country, and also in two
prestigious Jakarta Conservatory Piano Competition. He serves as member of
Music committee of the Jakarta Art Council since 2009.
Apart from his busy schedules teaching young conductors at Musicasa, a music
school he founded together with baritone Joseph Kristanto, he finds time to
regularly active in music making by inviting colleagues digging into various
chamber music repertoires or through his baroque ensemble Konsort Harmoni,
chamber choir Camerata Vocale Jakarta and Orkes Komunitas Concordia.

Budi Utomo Prabowo

(Tommy)
Lahir di Semarang dan mulai bermain piano pada umur yang sangat muda, beliau
menempuh pendidikan di Institut Seni Indonesia, mengambil jurusan biola.
Sebelum lulus, beliau pindah ke Jakarta pada tahun 1988. Beliau pernah menempuh
pendidikan iringan piano dan teori musik di Juilliard School selama satu semester.
Beliau juga menempuh pendidikan dirigen di Musikhochschule Freiburg, dengan
gelar Master pada tahun 2006. Beliau sempat bermusik bersama Freiburger
Bachchor dan Freiburger Kammerorchester. Beliau menjadi dirigen tamu
beberapa orkestra di Jakarta, seperti Twilite Youth Orchestra, Camerata
Symphony Orchestra, dan Nusantara Symphony Orchestra. Beliau diundang
sebagai juri untuk kompetisi paduan suara di seluruh Indonesia dan Jakarta
Conservatory Piano Competition yang sangat bergengsi. Beliau adalah anggota
dari komite musik Dewan Kesenian Jakarta sejak 2009.
Kini beliau berkonsentrasi menga jar dirigen-dirigen muda di Musicasa, sebuah
sekolah musik yang ia dirikan bersama dengan bariton Joseph Kristanto. Selain
menga jar, beliau juga masih aktif bermusik, mengundang koleganya untuk
bermain berbagai repertoar musik kamar, dan juga bersama dengan ensemble
barok Konsort Harmoni, paduan suara kamar Camerata Vocale Jakarta, dan Orkes
Komunitas Concordia.

Stephen Leek
Stephen Leek is one of Australia's leading figures in music performance,
composition and education. His distinctive music is immediately recognizable,
capturing the enigmas, drama, rhythms, colours and ethos of Australia. Leek is an
extensively commissioned freelance composer, freelance conductor, educator and
publisher.
Among Stephen Leek's array of personal accolades is the award in 2003 of the
prestigious Robert Edler International Prize for Choral Music. He has won numerous
other national and international awards for his music including several Sounds
Australian Awards, and in 2004, his work 'die dunkle Erde' was selected to represent
Australia at the UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers in Paris.
In recent years Leek's activities have expanded more on the international scene
where he has been Composer in Residence at the Marktoberdorf Musik Akademy,
Germany; Guest Conductor with the acclaimed Formosa Singers, Taiwan, The
Crystal Choir, USA, Composer NOT in Residence with Choral Artists of San
Francisco, and, Guest Conductor with the Singapore Ministry of Education, The
Taiwan Festival Youth Choir, The Crystal Choir in the USA, guest composer at the
Sun Music Festival in Riga, Latvia, a juror at several international events including
the World Choir Games, a presenter at numerous music festivals, education and
choral Conferences around the world, and, in 2012/13, he was Artistic Director of the
Shanghai Youth Choir (China). Stephen Leek is also a Vice President of the
International Federation for Choral Music.

yang ternama. Musiknya yang unik, mampu membawa kea jaiban, drama, irama,
warna, dan adat Australia dapat segera dikenali. Leek adalah seorang komposer,

EVENTS

RANGKAIAN ACARA

The 2nd ITB International Choir Competition will be held from February 3, 2015 until
February 7, 2015, at Institut Teknologi Bandung.

2nd ITB International Choir Competition akan diadakan pada tanggal 3 Februari
2015 sampai dengan 7 Februari 2015, di Institut Teknologi Bandung.

STAGE TRIAL

UJI COBA PANGGUNG

Stage trial is an opportunity for participants to rehearse on the stage in which the
competition will be held. The stage trial is not compulsory, participants may opt to
skip the stage trial.

Uji coba panggung merupakan kesempatan yang diberikan kepada peserta untuk
mencoba secara langsung keadaan panggung saat kompetisi. Uji coba panggung
bukan merupakan kewa jiban bagi para peserta. Peserta diperkenankan untuk
tidak mengikuti uji coba panggung.

OPENING CEREMONY

UPACARA PEMBUKAAN

The opening ceremony marks the official opening of the entire events that make up
the 2nd ITB International Choir Competition 2015. This ceremony will be attended by
the rector of ITB. During the opening ceremony, the committee will introduce the
participants, the Board of Artistic Directors, and the judges. The committee invites
two representatives from each participant to participate in this ceremony.

Upacara pembukaan merupakan peresmian dimulainya rangkaian kegiatan 2nd ITB

International Choir Competition 2015 oleh Rektor ITB. Dalam acara ini, akan
dilakukan perkenalan peserta, dewan direktur artistik, dan dewan juri. Panitia akan
mengundang dua orang perwakilan dari masing-masing paduan suara peserta.

CULTURAL NIGHT

MALAM KEBUDAYAAN

In this event, the participants will be introduced to the organizing committee,

Paduan Suara Mahasiswa ITB (ITB Student Choir). The participants will also be
introduced to the rich culture of Indonesia, represented by performances from
three student cultural clubs. This cultural night also serves as an event where
participants can get along with each other.

Acara ini mengenalkan Paduan Suara Mahasiswa-ITB kepada peserta 2 ITB

International Choir Competition 2015. Selain perkenalan tersebut, acara ini juga
mempertunjukkan kesenian khas Indonesia yang dibawakan oleh tiga unit
kebudayaan yang menunjukkan keberagaman budaya yang dimiliki oleh
Indonesia. Malam Kebudayaan ini juga diselenggarakan agar para peserta dapat
lebih saling mengenal.

FRIENDSHIP CONCERT

KONSER PERSAHABATAN

This concert will be held in various places around Bandung, such as public parks.
The performers in this concert are the participants of the 2nd ITB International Choir
Competition 2015.

Konser persahabatan ini akan diselenggarakan di beberapa tempat di kota

Bandung. Peserta konser merupakan peserta 2 nd ITB International Choir
Competition 2015. Peserta-peserta tersebut akan tampil di beberapa tempat
seperti taman dan tempat-tempat menarik lainnya di Kota Bandung.

WORKSHOPS
LOKAKARYA
The workshops are designed to enhance the participants' skills and knowledge
about choral music. The speakers for the workshops are musical figures and
experts in choral music.

CLOSING CEREMONY

Lokakarya bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keahlian yang

berhubungan dengan paduan suara. Pembicara pada lokakarya ini adalah tokohtokoh musik ataupun orang-orang yang ahli dalam bidang kepaduansuaraan.

UPACARA PENUTUPAN

This event marks the official closing of the 2 ITB International Choir Competition
2015. In this event, the committee will hand out certificates for all participants, and
announce the winners of the competition.

MEET THE JUDGES

Participants will be allowed to meet the judges to evaluate their performance
during the competition. This event will not change the decision of the judges.

GUEST CONCERT
This event will be held together with sponsors, and is a special program for the 2nd
ITB International Choir Competition 2015.

Upacara penutupan merupakan acara penutupan resmi 2 ITB International Choir

Competition 2015. Pada acara ini, akan dilakukan penyerahan sertifikat bagi para
peserta dan juga penyerahan trofi bagi para juara.

TEMU JURI
Temu juri merupakan salah satu a jang pertemuan peserta dengan dewan juri.
Acara ini diadakan agar para peserta dapat mengevaluasi penampilan mereka
pada saat penampilan kompetisi. Pertemuan ini tidak dapat mengubah hasil
keputusan dewan juri.

KONSER TAMU
Acara ini akan diadakan atas kerjasama dengan sponsor, dan merupakan salah

satu program istimewa dari 2 ITB International Choir Competition 2015.

GENERAL RULES

KETENTUAN UMUM

In this competition, participants are required to comply with the following rules:

Dalam kompetisi ini, peserta wa jib menaati peraturan-peraturan berikut:

1. All participants, except conductors and accompanists, must be of amateur

status, i.e., people who do not earn their principal livelihood from music
performance.

1. Seluruh peserta, kecuali dirigen dan pemain musik, harus berstatus amatir;
dengan kata lain, bukan memperoleh penghasilan dari musik.

2. The number of singers in each choir must be at least 16 and at most 45. The
number of singers in the contemporary a cappella performance category must
be at least 4 and at most 9.
3. Each choir may perform with more than one conductor. Each conductor is
allowed to conduct only one choir per category; conducting in different
categories is possible.
4. No singers are allowed to perform in more than one choir in the same category.
5. Choirs are permitted to apply for more than one category as long as they comply
with the conditions and regulations in each category. Choirs that take part in
several categories must perform different pieces between categories.
6. Choirs that take part in more than ONE category SHOULD provide different
records for each category they wish to participate in.
7. Indonesia-based choirs are permitted to apply for and compete in both the 2nd
ITB International Choir Competition and Festival Paduan Suara XXIV ITB 2015.
8. All pieces performed during the competition must be sung in their original
language or in an official translation.
9. Choirs may perform at most one piece with instrumental accompaniment. Only
original accompaniments are permitted; inclusion of instruments not written by
the composer or exclusion of instruments written in the score is not permitted.
Choirs are expected to provide their own musical instruments and the
accompanists. Only a piano is provided on stage.

2. Jumlah penyanyi dalam setiap paduan suara paling sedikit 16 orang dan paling
banyak 45 orang. Untuk kategori contemporary a cappella performance, jumlah
penyanyi paling sedikit 4 orang dan paling banyak 9 orang.
3. Setiap paduan suara diperkenankan tampil dengan lebih dari satu dirigen.
Setiap dirigen hanya dapat memimpin satu paduan suara pada kategori yang
sama. Dirigen diperbolehkan memimpin paduan suara lain pada kategori yang
berbeda.
4. Penyanyi tidak diperbolehkan untuk tampil di lebih dari satu paduan suara pada
kategori yang sama.
5. Peserta diperbolehkan untuk mendaftar lebih dari satu kategori selama dapat
memenuhi syarat dan ketentuan tiap kategori. Peserta yang mendaftar di lebih
dari satu kategori harus membawakan lagu yang berbeda di setiap kategori.
6. Peserta yang mengikuti lebih dari SATU kategori WAJIB mengirimkan rekaman
suara yang berbeda sesuai dengan kategori yang akan diikuti.

7. Peserta yang berdomisili di Indonesia dapat mendaftar untuk 2 ITB

International Choir Competition 2015 dan Festival Paduan Suara XXIV ITB 2015.
8. Semua lagu yang dibawakan selama kompetisi harus dibawakan dalam bahasa
asli atau terjemahan resmi.
9. Peserta diperbolehkan membawakan paling banyak satu buah lagu dengan
iringan musik. Iringan musik yang diperbolehkan adalah iringan asli gubahan
komposer atau arranger. Peserta wa jib menyediakan sendiri alat musik dan
pemusik yang diperlukan. Panitia hanya menyediakan piano di atas panggung.

10. The use of amplification and recorded materials are prohibited in categories
I, II, III, and V.

10. Penggunaan amplifikasi (sound system) dan materi hasil rekaman dalam
bentuk apa pun tidak diperbolehkan untuk kategori I, II, III, dan V.

11. The use of amplification is permitted in category IV. The committee will
provide the sound engineer and amplification system.

11. Penggunaan amplifikasi untuk kategori IV diperbolehkan. Panitia akan

menyediakan sound system dan sound engineer untuk kategori ini.

12. The committee requires that all participants use and submit original or
authorized music scores. The choir will have to provide the performance
rights for the pieces performed during the competition.

12. Setiap paduan suara harus menggunakan dan menyerahkan partitur asli
atau partitur dengan izin resmi dari komposer/arranger. Setiap paduan suara
juga bertanggungjawab atas hak penampilan untuk lagu-lagu yang
ditampilkan pada kompetisi.

13. All decisions related to the competition's materials, technical aspects, and
results approved by the Board of Artistic Directors is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
14. The committee will NOT hold any technical meeting. Any questions regarding
the competition should be addressed via email contact_iicc@fps-itb.com.
15. The committee will only respond to questions sent by email. Any responses
unless they are sent by email would NOT be considered legal.

13. Semua keputusan mengenai materi, teknis, dan hasil lomba yang telah
disetujui oleh Dewan Direktur Artistik merupakan keputusan akhir dan tidak
dapat diganggu gugat.
14. Panitia TIDAK mengadakan pertemuan teknis. Segala hal yang berkaitan
dengan lomba dapat ditanyakan kepada panitia melalui surel
contact_iicc@fps-itb.com.
15. Panitia TIDAK melayani pertanyaan melalui media komunikasi lain selain email. Semua hal mengenai lomba yang dikomunikasikan melalui media selain
e-mail TIDAK dapat dianggap sebagai jawaban resmi panitia.

CATEGORY I: MIXED YOUTH CHOIRS

This category is for SA(T)B choirs whose members are 17-26 years old, inclusive, at
the time of competition.

Participants must perform at least one a cappella piece in Bahasa Indonesia or
composed by an Indonesian composer. Participants may perform any number of
pieces, as long as their performance time does not exceed 15 minutes.

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
The Tournament of Champions is open to choirs with the highest marks in

categories I, II, and III and choirs suggested by the judges.

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
Tournament of Champions adalah kompetisi yang dibuka kepada paduan suara

yang mendapatkan nilai tertinggi di kategori I, II, dan III dan paduan suara yang
merupakan rekomendasi juri.

The choirs must perform two works in this tournament.

Peserta harus membawakan dua lagu dalam kompetisi ini.
The choirs may perform any repertoire including the repertoire they have

already performed during the competition.

Peserta bebas membawakan lagu apapun termasuk lagu yang telah ditampilkan

pada perlombaan sebelumnya.

Should the choirs wish to perform a piece not performed during the competition,

the choirs must notify the committee prior to the Tournament, and the choirs
must provide at least three original copies of the score.

During the competition, all participants must enter and leave the stage within the
certain route provided by the committee.

Selama kompetisi berlangsung, peserta hanya diperbolehkan masuk dan keluar

panggung melalui jalur yang disediakan panitia.

STAGE PERFORMANCE

PEMBAWAAN LAGU

Participants are allowed to perform the works submitted during the registration in
any order. The order of the pieces performed must be notified before certain
deadline decided by committee. Participants are allowed to perform with or
without the music scores. The evaluations are based on the music scores submitted
at registration.

Peserta dapat membawakan lagu dengan urutan bebas sesuai dengan lagu yang
diserahkan kepada panitia pada batas waktu yang telah ditentukan saat
pendaftaran. Peserta diperbolehkan untuk membawakan seluruh lagu dengan/
tanpa membawa partitur/ teks. Penilaian akan didasarkan pada partitur yang telah
diserahkan kepada panitia pada saat pendaftaran.

REPETITION

PENGULANGAN

The performing choir is not permitted to stop nor repeat their performance except
by the judges' request.

Pada saat penampilan, paduan suara tidak diperbolehkan menghentikan lagu

yang tengah dinyanyikan atau mengulangi kembali dengan alasan apapun juga,
kecuali atas permintaan Dewan Juri.

PERFORMANCE TIME
DURASI PENAMPILAN
The performance time for categories I, II, III, and IV must not exceed 15 minutes. The
overall performance time for category V must not exceed 18 minutes. The
performance time for categories I, II, III, and IV are measured from the time the
choirs sing the first note of the first piece to the time the choirs sing the last note of
the last piece. The performance time for category V is measured from the time the
first performer enters the stage to the time the last performer exits the stage.

Durasi penampilan untuk kategori I, II, III, dan IV tidak boleh melebihi 15 menit.
Durasi penampilan untuk kategori V tidak boleh melebihi 18 menit. Durasi
penampilan untuk kategori I, II, III, dan IV dihitung dari nada pertama hingga nada

CONDUCTORS
DIRIGEN
Conductors may only conduct one choir in the same category. Conductors are
allowed to sing in categories IV and V.

Dirigen hanya boleh memimpin satu paduan suara di kategori yang sama. Dirigen
boleh menyanyi pada kategori IV dan V.

ACCOMPANIMENT
MUSIK IRINGAN DAN PEMUSIK
The committee provides only a piano on stage. Participants may bring and use any
suitable acoustic (unplugged and unamplified) instruments as many as
appropriate to support the performance. Each participant must provide their own
accompanists for the music instruments used during the performances.

Panitia hanya menyediakan piano di atas panggung. Peserta diperbolehkan

membawa dan menggunakan alat-alat musik akustik lain tanpa batasan jumlah.
Setiap peserta harus menyediakan pemusik secara mandiri.

The performers on stage are the choristers, the conductor, and the accompanists.

The committee REQUIRES all participants to use and submit original or authorized
music scores. The committee is not responsible for any copyright infringement
caused by a choir's failure to provide original or authorized music scores.

their field. There are 7 judges for each category.

5. Scoring is based on numeric evaluation system. The judges will assign a number
from 51 to 99 for each criteria. Criteria I(a) and II(a) will be assessed for each
piece. Criteria I(b) and II(b) will be assessed for the entire performance. The

The participants will then obtain their score from each judge as the average of:

the average score of criteria I(a),

the score of criteria I(b),

the average score of criteria II(a), and

the score of criteria II(b).

6. The choir's final score is computed as follows. The highest score and the lowest
score out of the 7 judges will be excluded from calculation. The choir's final score
is given as the average score of the remaining 5 judges.

PENALTI

Participants who violate the regulations set by the committee will be penalized by
score deduction. The penalties will affect the final score.

Peserta yang menyalahi ketentuan-ketentuan yang ditetapkan oleh panitia dapat

dikenakan sanksi berupa pengurangan nilai akhir.

1. Participants who exceed the time limit will have their score deducted by 1 (one)
point every 30 seconds.

1. Peserta yang durasi penampilannya melebihi ketentuan akan dikurangi nilainya

sebesar 1 (satu) poin setiap 30 detik.

2. Participants with less than 16 singers in categories I, II, III, and V, or 4 singers in
category IV, will have their score deducted by 5 (five) points times the deficit.

2. Peserta yang jumlah penyanyinya kurang dari 16 orang untuk kategori I, II, III, dan
V, atau 4 orang untuk kategori IV akan dikurangi nilainya sebesar 5 (lima) poin
untuk setiap kekurangan penyanyi.

3. Participants with more than 45 singers in categories I, II, III, and V, or 9 singers in
category IV, will have their score deducted by 5 (five) points times the excess.
4. For participants in category I, the participants will have their score deducted by 5
(five) points for every singers older or younger than the age limit. In case of
doubt, the organizing committee reserves the right to request the birth
certificate of said singers.

V, atau 9 orang untuk kategori IV akan dikurangi nilainya sebesar 5 (lima) poin
untuk setiap kelebihan penyanyi.

ditetapkan panitia. Panitia berhak memeriksa akta kelahiran penyanyi-penyanyi
tersebut.

a. A photograph of all members of the choir and the conductor with the
minimum length of 2000 pixel in JPEG/JPG/BMP/PNG format.
b. The profile of the choir and conductor
c. Audio recordings in MP3/OGG/WAV/WMA/M4A format. The recording must
be done on April 2013 or later. Participants who wish to apply to different
categories are required to send the appropriate audio recordings for each
category. *
d. A statement letter from the conductor about the authenticity and recording
dates of the recording.
e. The proof of payment of the following fees:
i.
Registration fee, $100 for each category.
ii.
Participation fee, $275 for the first category and $175 for the next
categories.

5. Every choir who participates in 2nd IICC 2015 has the right to get a CD, a DVD, and
a photo of their performances in each category.
6. The registration process is completed after the participants complete the
requirements above.
7. All applications will be evaluated and considered by the artistic committee who
will announce the decision via email before September 27, 2014.
8. Accepted participants must confirm their participation within 20 days after the
announcement, via email. If, after this time, the committees have not received
the confirmation, the artistic committee may select another participant.
9. Confirmation of participation is accomplished by submitting seven original
copies of each work approved by the artistic committee. The submission must
be done before October 25, 2014. The committee will keep one original copy of
each work for the archive. The rest of the scores will be returned.
*audio recordings are allowed to be sent later. The deadline is July 11, 2014

5. Setiap paduan suara yang berpartisipasi dalam 2 nd IICC 2015 berhak

mendapatkan satu buah CD dan DVD rekaman penampilan dari setiap kategori
yang diikuti, dan satu lembar foto bersama untuk setiap penampilan.
6. Proses pendaftaran dianggap selesai jika peserta telah melengkapi seluruh
persyaratan di atas.
7. Seluruh pendaftar akan diseleksi oleh panitia yang akan memberikan
keputusan melalui email paling lambat tanggal 27 September 2014.
8. Peserta yang lolos seleksi rekaman harus melakukan konfirmasi dalam jangka
waktu 20 hari setelah pengumuman, melalui email. Apabila dalam jangka waktu
tersebut panitia tidak menerima konfirmasi, panitia berhak memilih peserta
lain.
9. Konfirmasi keikutsertaan dilakukan dengan cara mengirimkan tujuh buah
partitur asli atau terotorisasi untuk setiap lagu yang telah disetujui panitia.
Pengumpulan harus dilaksanakan sebelum tanggal 25 Oktober 2014. Panitia
akan menyimpan masing-masing satu partitur dari setiap lagu sebagai arsip,
selebihnya akan dikembalikan ke peserta.
*untuk pengiriman CD rekaman diperbolehkan menyusul dengan batas waktu
paling lambat tanggal 11 Juli 2014 diterima oleh panitia.
