Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering & Information Technology was
established in 2001 at Warje. Today the Institute is recognized as center of excellence
for training while there has been dynamic progress in all academics and infrastructure
with special reference to quality of faculty.
The Institute is committed to the task of developing quality human resources to cater
for the needs of aeronautical and allied industries through quality of teaching and
guidance for the project work.
The Institute has set up Aero-modeling Club and some other similar activities in other
engineering fields where students' participation is expected to the maximum extent
possible.
The student centric learning environment will gradually lead to e-learning and
Computer Based Teaching while deriving the maximum benefit from the internet.
Due importance will be given to the personality development of the students

Message from Advisor Tech

In a short span ,with the vision of qualitative contribution towards human resource in
aviation and the mission of transforming youth into highly professional engineers &
managers , IIAEIT has become one of the premier institution in India in the field of
imparting training for the courses of professional bodies & universities , especially in
the field of Aeronautics.
We believe in holistic approach & expose our students to various training modules
such as practical training on our own aircraft, aero modeling, visits to air force base,
exposure to latest software & arranging guest lectures by renowned personalities not
only in technical fields but also in the areas of socio-economic & personality
development.
We strive to make the students fit not only to survive but scale heights of success in
the competitive environments. Many of our students are successfully pursuing
higher education abroad or are placed in renowned companies.

Message from HOD Academics

Awareness of Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering is growing amongst the youth
and large number of students is showing interest in the Aviation field. Study of
Aeronautical Engineering is very systematic and encompasses various other
engineering disciplines making the course a comprehensive one. Mechanical
Engineering is the staple domain for engineering industry requiring special skills.
IIAEIT has shaped itself and empowered to provide requisite inputs for delivering the
various courses / programs. The students are given hands on experiences in various
well equipped laboratories while the peers provide guidance and counseling to meet
the challenging academic environment.
The assignments/frequent examinations, tutorials are so designed to generate
confidence in students to face the final examinations. Regular studies, attendance,
hard work, on time completion of assignments, close liaison with the faculty will help
in comfortably sailing through the academic program.
Our placements are excellent and good career opportunities can be expected.
I wish you all the best and a prosperous future.

PRACTICAL TRAINING
For better exposure of Aeronautical Engineering students to new
technologies and practical aspects of the aviation field, the Aeronautical
Society of India itself arranges practical training at organizations like
Indian , Air India, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. etc. at centers like Delhi,
Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderbad, Chennai, Ozhar and Bangalore for a period of
four to six months on 'No Cost No Payment' basis. Incase the companies
decide to charge for the training, the student has to bear the cost. This year
our Institute has arranged training of our students who have passed
Section B at Gas Turbine Research Establishment, Bangalore, Safran
Aerospace India and National Aerospace Limited.

JOB PROSPECTS
The Placement Cell of the Institute is very dynamic and in touch with various organizations and will forward the bio-data of the students
(of final semester) in order to assist them in placements. The resume of the students are uploaded in job portals for enhancing the
placement opportunities. The campus interviews are held regularly.
Job opportunities for AMAeSI students are with organizations like:
1.

DRDO. ADA. NAL, Indian Air Force/ Indian Navy,

2.

Air India

3.

Jetlite, Jet Airways

4.

Indian

5.

Kingfisher Airlines, Kingfisher Express

6.

Go Air, SpiceJet

7.

Air Works India. Boeing Commercial Airplane Company.

8.

Safran Aerospace and all Aircraft related Manufacturing industries like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited,

9.

Several Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling companies (MRO)

In case of Aeronautical Engg., the job prospects seems to be much brighter because very few Engg. Colleges are awarding B.E.
(Aeronautical) and also many private Airlines have started their operations and many Maintenance, Repairing, Overhauling facilities are
coming up.

Frequently Asked Questions(faq)

1.Is there any donation for admission?
No, we do not charge any donation or capitation fee for admission. The fees, deposit &
other charges are clearly mentioned in the Prospectus & there are no other collections
from the students.
2.How the students, who are relatively lower in merit, would be able to cope up
with the course?
IIAEIT provides special attention to the low grasping power students and provide
them with appropriate course instructions to bring them at par with other students.
These courses are rich in content and hence require systematic studies & hard work.
3. Is the AMAeSI / IME correspondence course?
No, this is not correspondence courses but require quite systematic studies in an
organized manner. Correspondences course involves sending study material to the
students who complete the assignment & mail it back to the university or to the
correspondence center. There is no such arrangement in AM courses. IIAEIT prepares
the students to appear for these courses through regular classes in the campus for full
day, six days a week, so that they can cope up with the studies.
4.Can the Associate Membership courses be pursued in coaching classes?
The coaching classes do not have full fledged laboratories, experienced faculty,
library facilities, aircraft, engines etc. In addition, IIAEIT has excellent infrastructure
required for these courses. IIAEIT also arranges special instructions for personality
development. Practical training, seminars, technical visits, industrial training, and
placements are unique selling points of llAEIT.
5. Is AMAeSI / IME equivalent to regular degree in engineering?
These qualifications have been recognized being at par with BE/BTech in engineering
from a university by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The students who complete
these courses can obtain admission in post-graduation, secure government/private
service; appear for IAS, IES, IPS services etc. .
6. Is IIAEIT having AICTE approval?
For professional course like AMAeSI / IME approval from AICTE is not required.
However, the syllabus of these courses are approved / recommended by AICTE.
7.What about Placement?
The Institute has an active Training & Placement Dept. We arrange campus interviews,
place the students in reputed firms while the salaries are as applicable at that time
depending upon the companies. We regularly send students for training and
industrial visits.

Aeronautical / Aerospace domain has been my fascination since childhood.
I am very much impressed by Dr. Kalam who is an aeronautical engineer and
I want to become a successful aerospace engineer. IIAEIT has very good
infrastructure and has well experienced faculty who are guiding factor for
transforming my dreams into reality

Aditya Kardile

I am aspiring to work in aerospace/aeronautical industries. The learning

environment is excellent here assisted by practicals in all major subjects. Since
the program is in modular system, it would be easy for me to study abroad. The
continuous evaluation system helps us maintain the standard of education. I
am happy that I have joined IIAEIT.
