Position: NUHM Support Consultant


Location: Lucknow
Supervisor: Program Manager/Deputy Director
Job Summary
This is a consultancy assignment aimed at supporting the City Managers in implementing the strategy to formation and
strengthen MAS and support in transition of UHI learnings in NUHM to achieve scale and sustainability for urban poor
and sustain improvements.
Roles and Responsibilities

Work closely with outreach team for strengthening womens group to act as MAS and formation o f MAS if required
and build their capacities.

Initiate process of stakeholder meeting at UHP and conducting UHND with the support of womens group/MAS

Coordinate with District officials involved in NUHM implementation.

Work closely with Chief Medical Officer, ACMO-RCH, Nodal officer NUHM to support PIP preparation.

Support in transition of UHI interventions with NUHM

Establish review mechanism at district level.

Follow-up of accreditation of private facilities.

Support in printing of IEC material from NRHM fund.

Made operational schemes of MOHFW, JSK, NRHM, WCD/ICDS, and SUDA

Initiate plans of proposed National Urban Health Mission in Mathura city.


Desired qualifications and attributes

Motivated to improve the health and welfare of poor people living in cities
Ability to network and liaise with senior government officials at the state and city levels.
Experienced in collaboration and partnership with the GoUP
Well informed about government structure, systems and procedures in the context of family plan ning and
reproductive health and urban health.
Ability to motivate and facilitate joint action, collaboration, innovation, and problem solving
Results oriented, and able to plan, implement and complete tasks independently and on time.
Good presentation, and documentation skills, including in word processing and PowerPoint.
Able to establish and maintain excellent networks with public and private sector stakeholders
Able to function effectively as part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary multi-organizational team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Understanding of family planning, reproductive health, and/or maternal & infant health
Ability to speak, understand, read and write in Hindi and English
Post graduate with MPH, MSW, MBA, MBBS, PhD, MA or MS in Social Sciences
