4 INTRODUCTION:
4.1 DOCUMENT PURPOSE: The purpose of this document is to illustrate
complete functional requirements of Virginia Education Wizard
(www.vawizard.org). This document will describe the Business, Technical
Requirements and Functional Requirements as well utilizing Use Cases,
Business Architecture diagrams and illustrations for comprehensive
understanding.

5 BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS:

5.1 HOME PAGE: Wizard 5.0 should provide the users brief description of the site's
purpose and functionalities in a clear, intuitive and visually engaging manner.

REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION
Homepage should be accessible to all type of Wizard users. ( Anonymous and
Logged in )
When the user is not logged in , Wizard 5.0 Homepage should display the Login
link which will drop a menu on mouse hover which will contain the following
fields :

username textbox

Password textbox

Login button

Reset password link (it has a complex user authentication mechanism

because the user can be VCCS user or wizard user or other user)

Create account

The drop down menu will contain a button ' Reset Your Password ' option that
allows the user to successfully reset his password.
The drop down menu will contain a link which allows the user to create an
account.
The password should meet the following criterion for successful login:

It should at least have seven characters and not more than ten characters.

It must contain at least one UPPERCASE letter.

It must contain at least one lowercase letter.

It may not contain any special characters.

Top of the homepage should display a Register button that directs the user to
create an account webpage so that the user can create a new account.
Top of the Homepage should display Espanol link that should provide a Spanish
translated version of the Wizard for all subsequent webpages that the user
scrolls through.
'Espanol' link on the Webpage should change to 'English' link which allows the
user to revert back to English version of the Wizard
Top right corner of the Homepage should display the Search option.

The homepage should display Welcome User Name message on the top
section once the user is authenticated (post successful
login).

On clicking on the username will drop a menu that contains a link to users
profile, Logout option and other custom menu options based on roles.
