2) AGE RELAXATION:
a)
Sector Specialist :
i)
Upper age limit may be relaxed to the extent of five years in favour of a candidate who is already in
the Service of GSBTM or State Government or Central Government or Government undertaking
Boards or Corporations or Local Bodies or the Statutory Organizations.
ii) Further the upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate belonging to Schedule castes,
Scheduled Tribes or Socially and Educationally backward Class or women in accordance with the
provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
iii) Upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already appointed and working as
Sector Specialist on contract basis in fixed pay for minimum period of three years on the date of
publication of these rules and who possesses the qualification as prescribed above.
b) Accountant-cum-Administrative Officer:
i)
Upper age limit may be relaxed to the extent of five years in favour of a candidate who is already in
the service of GSBTM or State Government or Central Government or Government undertaking
Boards or Corporations or Local Bodies or the Statutory Organizations.
ii) Upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled
Tribes or Socially and Educationally Backward Class or Women in accordance with the provisions of
the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
iii) Upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already appointed and working as
Accountant-cum-Administrative Officer on outsource or contract basis in fixed pay for minimum
period of two years on the date of publication of these rules and who possesses the qualification as
prescribed above.
c)
Assistant:
i)
Upper age limit may be relaxed to the extent of five years in favour of a candidate who is already in
the service of GSBTM or State Government or Central Government or Government undertaking
Boards or Corporations or Local Bodies or the Statutory Organizations.
ii) Upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled
Tribes or Socially and Educationally Backward Class or Women in accordance with the provisions of
the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
iii) Upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already appointed and working as
Deputy Section Officer on outsource or contract basis in fixed pay for minimum period of two years
on the date of publication of these rules and who possesses the qualification as prescribed above.
d) Typist-cum-Clerk:
i)
Upper age limit may be relaxed to the extent of five years in favour of a candidate who is already in
the service of GSBTM or State Government or Central Government or Government undertaking
Boards or Corporations or Local Bodies or the Statutory Organizations.
ii) Upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled
Tribes or Socially and Educationally Backward Class or Women in accordance with the provisions of
the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
iii) Upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of a candidate who is already appointed and working as
Deputy Section Officer on outsource or contract basis in fixed pay for minimum period of two years
on the date of publication of these rules and who possesses the qualification as prescribed above.
3) PROBATION PERIOD:
a)
For position mentioned in Sr. No. 1 & 2, the candidate appointed by direct selection shall be on
probation for a period of two years.
b) For position mentioned in Sr. No. 3, the candidate appointed by direct selection shall be appointed on
contractual basis for five years on such terms and conditions as prescribed by the GSBTM with fixed
salary of ` 6000/- pm. A candidate shall be given the prescribed pay scale of the post of Assistant after
completion of contractual period, on his performance being found satisfactory during the stipulated
period of service on contractual basis.
c) For position mentioned in Sr. No. 4, the candidate appointed by direct selection shall be appointed on
contractual basis for five years on such terms and conditions as prescribed by the GSBTM with fixed
salary of ` 4500/- pm. A candidate shall be given the prescribed pay scale of the post of Typist-cum-clerk
after completion of contractual period, on his performance being found satisfactory during the
stipulated period of service on contractual basis.
4) The application for the above post(s) is to be submitted through RPAD/Speed Post within 20 days from the
date of advertisement addressed to the Mission Director, Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Block-11/9,
Udhyog Bhavan, Sector 11, Gandhinagar 382017, Gujarat, India. Applications received through any other
mode will not be considered under any circumstances.
5) The applications received after last date will not be considered under any circumstances.
6) The applications received on e-mail will not be considered under any circumstances.
7) Person has to send a separate application for each post.
8) Persons already in service must submit their applications through proper channel. While forwarding
applications of in service candidates, Head of the Institutions should certify that the applicants are free from
Administrative and Vigilance angle and that no vigilance proceedings are pending or contemplated.
9) Late / incomplete applications/ application without attested copies of academic qualification, age, and
community will summarily be rejected.
10) Canvassing in any form by or on behalf of any candidate or bringing political or other outside influence with
regard to selection/recruitment will disqualify the candidate.
11) GSBTM reserves the right to cancel the recruitment for all/any of the post without giving any reason.
