UNIT I. TALKING ABOUT SOCIAL, ACADEMIC, AND WORKING CONTEXTS

Talking about school daily activities (present simple VS present continuous)

Talking about difficulties concerning the stays (present continuous for future plans)
Making suggestions and advice about the stays (past modals)

EVALUATION: Oral presentation (teams of 4) describing a difficult situation

during the stays.
UINIT II. IDENTIFYING MAIN IDEAS AND VOCABULARY FROM SPECIFIC TEXTS

Reading different types of texts

Identifying main ideas from the texts (Parts of the speech and preposition of place and
movements)
Writing abstracts using appropriate structures and vocabulary

EVALUATION: Written exam about reading comprehension of their Engineering

including an abstract.
UNIT III. IDENTIFYING MAIN IDEAS IN A COMMUNICATIVE EVENT

Practicing listening through different audio-visual materials

Extracting specific information from the listening practices
Reporting what other people say (Simple past and present perfect with just, already
and yet)

EVALUATION: Elaborate a video (or oral individual presentation) in which they

present a topic about their Engineering.

To present the exam, the student will be asked to cover a 90% of attendance. This is the criteria to be
