EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In the name of ALLAH Most Gracious , Most Merciful.
Persatuan Mahasiswa Malaysia Irbid (PERMAI) is an authorized student body
registered under Education Malaysia Jordan (EMJ) which is in charge of maintaining
and taking care of the welfare of the Malaysian Students in Irbid, Jordan.
Majlis Mahasiswa JUST (MMJ) in the other hand is a bureau under PERMAI in charge
of the Malaysian students studying Medicine and Dentistry in Jordan University Of
Science And Technology (JUST) consisting of 600 students mainly scholars from JPA,
MARA, MINDEF and various other institutions in Malaysia.
The main

job scope for MMJ are mainly:

Visas related
Organize programs related to Medical and Dental students
Supervise the Malaysian students academic status
Organize classes to improve academics
As the Malaysian students representative with the Jordanian Student
Body

Ergo, with the mandated responsibilities, MMJ and PERMAI has come up with a
proposal of a very beneficial program to be organized for the Malaysian students
which would be further on explained throughout this proposal.

PROGRAM INTRODUCTION
PERMAI and MMJ has identified a problem amongst the medical and dental
students here in Irbid. Through various obeservations and surveys it has been
proven that the medical and dental students in Jordan lack of the study environment
and are shady when it comes to their objectives and understanding as a medical
and dental student. The varsity system itself is a little flawed when it comes to
providing the medical and dental students programs or classes to further enhance
their knowledge. For example, in JUST there is no tutor programs or classes like
other universities to help these medical and dental students achieve higher. Seeing
this problem , PERMAI and MMJ decided to organize a program which would serve
the same purpose known as MDC (MEDICAL DENTAL CAMP).
MDC is the first program of its kind to be organized here in Jordan. The
concept is very much similar to medical summer camps usually organized by well
known institutions to enhance and elevate the medical students understanding on
their studies. In this program we will, be bringing the students on an outdoor camp
for 2 days , where we will organize activities and talks to help motivate and improve

the understanding of the students. There will also be a book share called becoming
an effective medical student.

The activites would be medical and dental related, where the clinical
students (year 4 and above) will act as facilitators to help the juniors. The talks
would be conducted by lecturers and well known doctors in the medical field. It
would create a fun learning environment yet help prepare these students when they
come back home to serve the nation.
OBJECTIVES

Enhance and improve the understanding of students on their studies

Prepare the students for their career in the medical and dental field
Create the medical and dental learning environment
Share learning tips for medical and dental students
Help to create a bond between students and doctors
Opening up the horizons of the medical and dental field.

CONCLUSION
With the presentation of this program proposal, we hope that some consideration
would be put to contribute towards this beneficial event. We fully hope that the
participation and help from KPT itself could help us achieve the goals stated in the
journey of enhancing and improving the academic status of ours Malaysian medical
and dental student. We would like to express our greatest gratitude and
appreciation for the time you spend reading and considering our proposal. May our
efforts to help our Malaysian community here be well perceived and become a
reality.
