Installation Process

Air conditioner and horizontal drain plumbing

Arrange the distance of plumbing below 700mm between
flexible hose attached to air conditioner and horizontal drain
plumbing. Also, please arrange the maximum height of AC
Drain Flexible Unit less than the maximum height specified
by air conditioner manufacturer.

Precautions to use
1.Cautions at the stage of planning

Please pay attention not to cause buckling in case supporting

material is used.

This is piping material for drainage of air conditioner. Do not use

for pressure application except air conditioner pump up application
(below 1mm).

Do not use hose which had buckling or stepped on even there is

no visual damage.

Please arrange thermal insulation for the section where water is

full such as at the top of pump up section. Water condensation
may occurr in that area. It may not happen depends on the
condition, but please check it.

Please replace to new hose in case of re-arranging plumbing such

as renewal of air conditioner. It is not feasible for reuse once
installed.
Arrange minimum bending radius within 3 times of outer diameter
for Drain Pipe.

The applicable area is for indoor only. Do not apply for exterior.
Treatment with Fi-Block is required for area where fire proof is
required.

6. Other cautions
Cut and remove the section in case there is crack, dint or
deflection.

Steel bar hook (all screw bolt hook) is standard procedure for
horizontal plumbing.

In case pipe and fittings are attacked by creosote, asphalt,

antiseptic, waterproof agent or ketone, it may swell and break.
Please avoid contact of those materials to pipe and fittings.

Straight plumbing should be less than 30 meter. Arrange elbow

every 30 meters (more than 2 elbows: Pitch of elbow more than
0.5 meter).

Do not run liquid that containts solvent, ethanol, chlorine,

glycoether or ricinus. It may break pipe and result in leakage of
liquid. Please pay attention especially when cleaning inside of air
conditioner by chemical solution.

2.Caution at storage
Arrange the pitch of support to AC Drain Pipe identical to same
size of PVC pipe (VP).
Store pipe and fittings inside of a room. Cover by sheet with
avoiding to retain heat in case it needs to store outside.

Do not step on or hang on pipe.

Avoid fire cause near this product that comes from spark by
electric welding, torch lamp or gas barner, etc.

Do not use fire in storage room. Fire spark or heat may cause
damage to pipe and fittings.

Follow the instruction from gas equipment manufacturer and

association concerning the distance to gas equipment such as gas
water heater. The condition may differ by the type of equipment.
Thus, please consult the distance with gas business operator or
manufacturer.

Do not store solvent or paint in storage room. Attack by organic

solvent, etc. may cause damage.
3. Caution for transportation
Whole coverage by corrugate board is required, since AC Drain
pipe has foamed layer and soft. Need to be handled more carefully
than PVC pipe. Never drag or throw.

Do not allocate pipes near direct heat such as stove burner.

Do not flush chemical content such as solvent, ethanol or chlorine
based material. It may break pipe and results in leakage. Please
pay attention especially when cleaning the equipment by chemical
solution.

4.Caution for installation of AC Drain Pipe and Fittings

Use Eslon Adhesive No. 73S Blue, No. 75S Blue N, No. 73S, No.
75S.
Use Eslon Adhesive No. 73S Blue or No. 75S Blue N for
transparent AC Drain Fitting.

Cautions

Please follow instruction to install Eslon AC Drain Pipe and Fittings

on page 8.

In case the volume of adhesive exceeds allowable level, regulation

of intoxiation prevention may apply. Detail needs to be checked
with local labor standards inspection office.
Please pay attention to fire during installation, since organic
solvent such as adhesive is used.

Please follow the requirements stated below for connection

between AC Drain and PVC pipe.The gap at the joint may cause
accumulation of water or moisture condensation.

Please conduct sufficient ventilation when adhesive is used.

Remove adhesive immediately in case it contacts to skin. Please
see doctor if feel sick or unusual.

** Make sure to use AC Drain plumbing system with combination

of AC Drain Pipe and AC Drain Fittings.

Some sealing material contains plasticizer (phthalate, DOP, etc.) or

organic solvent (xylene, toluene) that may have negative effect on
PVC pipe or fitting. Please do not use sealing material that contains
those component.

** Make sure to use adapter fitting (refer to page 6) to connect AC

Drain Pipe and PVC pipe.
Use 1 size larger fitting of PVC pipe for screw type cleaning hole
(joint section needs another thermal insulation).

Cable that contains plasticizer may have negative effect on pipe or

fitting. Please avoid direct contact of those cables to pipe and
fittings.

5. Caution for installation of AC Drain Flexible Unit

Do not drag or bend from the point of fitting.

Please consut us in case there is some skeptical use but not

specified in this.

Do not step on fitting, hose or area where is close to joint. Do not

use hose once it has been stepped on even there is no damage
visually.
Please minimize the twist for plumbing.
Do not flush chemical liquid (surface activating agent, organic
solvent, acid, alkali, etc) or solid content except drain.

Please follow the instruction and conduct safe and secured

installation for Eslon AC Drain Pipe and Fittings.
