If you’re wondering, or even have thought about it, you might ask yourself is
America is still under an Official State of Emergency, and before you run across the
street to ask your neighbor and really demonstrate your ignorance – we are.
On September 14th, 2010 George and his gang of magical masters of darkness and
war put in writing,
A national emergency exists by reason of the terrorist attacks at the World
Trade Center, New York, New York and the Pentagon, and the continuing and
immediate threat of further attacks on the United States.
NOW, THEREFORE, I GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of
America, by virtue of the authority vested in me as President by the
Constitution and the laws of the United States, I hereby declare that the
national emergency has existed since September 11, 2001…”
That “declared” STATE OF EMERGENCY has continued in full-force and effect from
9/11 to the present. As on Sept 12th, 2007 the President extended the State of
Emergency for one additional year, but on a separate announcement on the White
House website notes:
“Because of the actions of these persons who commit, threaten to commit, or
support terrorism continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the
United States, the national emergency declared on September 23rd, 2001, and the
measures adopted on that date to deal with that emergency, must continue in
effect “beyond” September 23rd, 2007. Therefore, in accordance with section
202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d), I am continuing for 1-
Year the national emergency with respect to persons who commit, threaten to
commit, or support terrorism.”
Like my sister says, “get a grip America” under this proclamation the sitting
President acting as a President in proclaiming a national emergency activated some
say 500 “dormant legal provisions”, including those allowing the President to
impose censorship and martial law. There more than a few legal members of our
community which note with certainty the President’s authority to declare Martial
Law.
Most or all of the emergency powers referred to as the 500 “dormant legal
provisions” above were revoked in the late 1970s by 50 U.S.C. Section 1601 –
However, presidents have made numerous declarations of emergency since then,
and the declarations made by President Bush in September 2001 are still in
effect….and on January 20th, 2010 President Obama issued a continued state of
emergency announcement and expanding its definition as underlined below.

TO THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES:

Section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C.1622(d)) provides for the
automatic termination of a national emergency unless, prior to the anniversary date
of its declaration, the President publishes in the Federal Register and transmits to
the Congress a notice stating that the emergency is to continue in effect beyond the
anniversary date. In accordance with this provision, I have sent to the Federal
Register for publication the enclosed notice stating that the emergency declared
with respect to foreign terrorists who threaten to disrupt the Middle East peace
process is to continue in effect beyond January 23, 2010.

The crisis with respect to the grave acts of violence committed by foreign terrorists
who threaten to disrupt the Middle East peace process that led to the declaration of
a national emergency on January 23, 1995, has not been resolved. Terrorist groups
continue to engage in activities that have the purpose or effect of threatening the
Middle East peace process and that are hostile to United States interests in the
region. Such actions constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national
security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. For these reasons, I have
determined that it is necessary to continue the national emergency declared with
respect to foreign terrorists who threaten to disrupt the Middle East peace process
and to maintain in force the economic sanctions against them to respond to this
threat.

Our sitting president has taken the “original” State of Emergency issued by
President GW Bush and deleted the reference to 9/11 and substituted “foreign
terrorists who threaten to disrupt the Middle East peace process” and that their
previous actions “led to the declaration of a national emergency on January 23 rd,
1995, had not been resolved.”
Makes you wonder if this act allows him to do whatever with for example the EPA,
and its run to enforce the rules of emissions that most seem to think are out of line,
that is not only in light of the breakdown in the United Nations entity the IPCC, but
of any solid proof that the United States CO² emissions are causing the heavy-duty
snowstorms over most of the United States, whereas last week we witnessed a
snow covering over 49 or our 50 states. But I suppose that is neither here or there
when it comes to the “secrets” our government keeps from us supporters, whether
it is Republican or Democratically controlled.
 I noticed our VP Joe Biden is carrying the torch forward in maintaining our State of
Emergency, whereas this week during an interview with Harry Smith said, “We have
made more progress in dismantling the hierarchy of al-Qaeda central…and
evidence of that is, now they’re going to ‘lone bombers’ as the means to get there…
I’m more worried about, and harder to detect, and I’m very concerned about a
terrorist attack in the United States along the lines of the ‘Christmas Day bomber.’
You get a disgruntled student, someone who has some relationship with the United
States who is---able to be recruited quickly, able to be indoctrinated quickly. And
they say, basically, ‘Here’s a bomb. Go to it!’ This as opposed to the kind of
planning that’s needed to pull off ---a very complicated 9/11.”
I chose not to go into his statement about the “very complicated 9/11”, in that as
of the last couple of months the well laid plans of the last administration seemed to
be unraveling – as they should. But in any case, the United States of America is still
operating under a “State of Emergency”, and there are certain items (laws) that the
Executive Branch of its government can circumvent, all laws expressly guaranteed
under it sacred Constitution.
So forget all about that “stuff” that President Bush attempted to and sometimes
succeeded in doing under his “State of Emergency”, we’re now under a new régime
where the rules have changed, and we know sit collectively waiting for the results of
the change.
