Answer 1:
Once SMC personnel has come to me and invited me to join under LARC network to
provide service from my chamber. On these circumstances I was interested to
provide meaningful contribution to meet the needs of reproductive health services
to my clients. I also took the training for filling up my clients demand
Answer 2:
It is fulfill the demand of the clients. Now my chamber is a one stop service point. I
am providing all general Gynae and Obs related service including reproductive
health services to my clients. I think it went all through well. Day by day numbers
of LARC clients are increasing. Clients are happy that they are getting FP services
also from me. Establishing private sector in providing LARC services to a huge
number of populations those who were hesitant to go in Government facilities for
taking LARC services.
Answer 3:
Due to limitation of time for proper counseling to the patients is a great barrier of
this program. When patients come to me for the service if she has not get proper
time and counseling from me that time she went wrong and left me. So i believe
proper counseling and motivation to the clients may increase huge patients.

Actually those providers have the confidence and proper training they can get high
number of LARC clients. If providers incorporate LARC promotion when they
prescribed clients at the time of any general check up.

Most probably those who has less confidence may get less numbers of clients

Integration of LARC service with other general health services facility and proper
Counseling.

Some misconceptions among the clients about IUD and IMPLANT so that they are
not interested to take method.

My clients are counseled by me and as well as my assistant staff nurse of the
hospital. They get some initial information in the reception after that when they wait
in the outdoor that time our nurses counsel them. Patients are also having the
leaflets, brochures from our hospital. I also counsel them when they come to me for
taking reproductive health related services.

If we give proper emphasis on LARC service and increase the local and community
level promotion. Urban area peoples are now well known about LARC rather than
rural peoples

In this hospital so far we are two doctors who provide the service but most of the
time i am taking the responsibility to provide LARC service .She collaborate with me
if any clients come to her for LARC service.

Take care of the patients, give time to time information and greet the outdoor
patients, assist doctors during OT. When one patients come here for taking LAPM
services; his detail are recorded in a register book any one can easily understand it.
She played a great role in this hospital. Patients also collect leaflets and brochures
from her. She used to counsel our patients on a regular basis.

SMC supplied leaflets, brochures to us for distributing among our clients. At the
same time they introduce billboard that i have been seen in Mohammadpur. That
helped us to bring many patients.

Basically it differs from clients to clients. IUD 1200 BDT which includes OT charges
and same as well IMPLANT. Price is not a deciding factor. They only concern about
the method and side effect .However we advise them to take appropriate method.

So far it is gone so well. In our hospital we have a pharmacy they are responsible for
keeping supply of LARC commodities. We prescribe our clients and they purchase it
from the pharmacy. SMC always ensures that pharmacy dont run out of supply.
They also provide us IEC materials such as leaflet, brochure, banner and they
always keep connection with us.
Answer 21:
Overall it went well. In fact it needs more time to popularize LARC products among
eligible clients, continues publicity and counseling is important. Training programme
and involvement of doctors and Nurses is good. SMC is successful to establish a
good relation with us and we are getting good support from them.
