PROGRAMME DETAILS
The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance programme seeks to provide a foundation for lifelong learning with a strong emphasis on the
development of appropriate knowledge, skills and professional values essential to the exercise of an accounting and nance
specialism, whether in industry or public practice. It has been designed to provide a thorough grounding in nancial reporting,
management accounting and corporate nance. It aims to develop technically competent, broad based individuals who think and
communicate effectively and who have the basis for conducting inquiry, carrying out problem solving and undertaking critical analysis
in a constantly changing business context.
The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance carries high levels of accreditation with professional bodies in accounting and nance and
prepares students for successful careers in the nancial industries. There is a particular focus on professional accounting skills and
attributes and corporate nancial decision making. Engagement with a real world applied context is key to success and underpinned
with social responsibility and ethical standards which are embedded in core studies. Graduates are able to demonstrate excellent

PROGRAMME DETAILS
The BA (Hons) Business Management with Marketing offers students a current and integrated business education covering the
main disciplines and operational areas of business as well as marketing. The B.A. (Honours) Business Management with Marketing
has been designed to combine a comprehensive business education with the opportunity to specialise in the eld of Marketing. The
Business with Marketing degree offers a chance to study both business and specialist marketing modules covering a wide range of
perspectives, principles, practices and contemporary issues.
As the programme progresses, learning and skills developed through the study of business modules are applied to a wide range of
Marketing issues. Students also have the opportunity to specialise and focus on a variety of aspects of Marketing issues and debates
though their specialist pathway. By the nal year, students are equipped through both their rst two years of study (this is further
enhanced by the opportunity to complete a work placement) to undertake both integrative and specialist subjects, and to complete an
independent research-based piece of work in their specialist pathway, marketing. The philosophy of the programme is underpinned by
a commitment to developing students as independent autonomous learners. One of the award's attractions is that students are able to
specialise in Marketing within a broad-based business degree. This provides them with exibility of opportunity on successful
