A PARADIGM SHIFT IN POWER GENERATION AND TRANSPORTATION
AbstractPower generation and transportation are undeniably essential
aspects of human civilization. Both have for a while been mostly
achieved by the following prevalent methods (i) combustion of
fossil fuels in internal combustion engines (ii) hydroelectric
infrastructures mostly dams (iii) solar (iv) wind, etc; The
aforementioned being thus as at the time of this particular
documentation: 20/6/2015.
To be succinct, this one iteration among many of this
innovation, leverages the repeated alternation in polarity of
electromagnets due to alternation of the direction of current
flow of alternating current (which one can electronically and or
digitally modulate and demodulate its frequency causing
alterations from 0.5 Hertz to 1 Kilo Hertz and more or less); and

while the alternating current courses ferrite core

electromagnets, the electromagnets by predetermined orientation
consequently oscillate within magnetic fields of permanent
magnets, all set in a seesaw arrangement that results in
alternating and altering moments about a seesaw fulcrum, while
also employing crank and slider mechanisms, in the ensemble, to
which may be attached tyres and or alternators and or propellers,
for power generation and transportation on land, air and water,
for now, at least.
This paper has its (#1) introduction summarizing some key
aspects of the advantages and limitations of some old and current
prevalent techniques for power generation and transportation. In
addition it has its (#2) exposition on its #operation with
illustrations, to explain key aspects of its advantages and
applications. Finally it has its (#3) conclusion on actions to
take to realize this innovation and thus achieve better than
presently obtainable conventional power generation and
transportation, by employing and applying this one innovation.
#1 INTRODUCTION
This one innovation for power generation and transportation
is imperative for human civilization right now. Undoubtedly there
are many novel innovations by others, and herein we disclose
ours.
Before we do so, as aforementioned in the abstract, we here
first summarize some key aspects of the advantages and
limitations of some old and current prevalent techniques for
power generation and transportation.
The currently prevalent technique common to both power
generation and transportation is combustion of fossil fuels in
internal combustion engines. As at now there is no commonly
practiced massively effective way to reduce (talk less stop not
to talk of reversing) the damage(s) of much age long pollution
resultant from combustion of fossil fuels in internal combustion
engines.
Though we have energy mainly by this technique which has its
perks obviously, we know its limitations which well include
pollution and unfavorable politics in the crude oil industry and
its market. We however also know fossil fuels like coal, crude
oil and natural gas have a lot of other uses besides power
generation and transportation, especially as fractions of crude
oil have numerous and various profitable uses and values.
We also have hydroelectric infrastructures being mostly dams
which sometimes fluctuate in power output due to a plethora of
reasons, including its limitations in installation and
application to mostly benefit regions closest to the right kind
of water bodies needed for its feasible and profitable
operations, nevertheless to some degree of efficiency they work
satisfactorily enough.

Solar and wind technique for power generation are gradually

gaining ground. Wind technique is limited to mostly benefit
regions with windy weather nevertheless it is an amazing
technique.
However solar panels mostly in use now are mostly nonbiodegradable and thus non-recyclable, which makes them a
nuisance once they are bad or have outlived their usefulness, and
this means stockpiling them and mismanaging space, unless we
degrade such bad or expired solar panels, breaking them apart
molecule by molecule and or atom by atom with nano size machines
made of a third allotrope of carbon called football carbon, and
commercializing such technology still seems distant.
Undeniably there is therefore room for improvement and more
so the need for this one innovation in power generation and
transportation being exposed herein.
#2 EXPOSITION
Being succinct, this one iteration among many of this
innovation, leverages the repeated alternation in polarity of
electromagnets due to alternation of the direction of current
flow of alternating current (which one can electronically and or
digitally modulate and demodulate its frequency causing
alterations from 0.5 Hertz to 1 Kilo Hertz and more or less); and
while the alternating current courses ferrite core electromagnets
continously altering back and forth the electromagnets magnetic
pole orientation from North (N) magnetic poles to South (S)
magnetic pole into S magnetic pole to N magnetic poles, the
electromagnets by predetermined orientation consequently
oscillate within N magnetic poles of permanent magnets, all set
in a seesaw arrangement that results in alternating and altering
moments about a seesaw fulcrum, while also employing crank and
slider mechanisms, in the ensemble, to which may be attached
tyres and or alternators and or propellers, for power generation
and transportation on land, air and water, for now, at least.
With satisfactory precision the following explanations and
illustrations (i#1, i#2, i#3, i#4) of its #operations reveal key
aspects of this innovation.
#OPERATION
Operations commence with a switch connecting a Battery (BA1)
supplying Direct Current (DC) power to an Inverter (INV)
converting BA1 DC power to Alternating Current (AC) power.
Operations continue with a frequency Modulator De-Modulator
(MODEM) connected to the INV which mostly have Ferrite core
ElectroMagnets (FEM); so with the MODEM as desired or needed we
can regulate the frequency of the INV AC power from a low
frequency as 0.5 Hertz (Hz) to a high frequency as 1 Kilo Hz
(KHz), even more or less, within the FEM as is possible with FEM.
Operations cascade into INV AC power output, in needed or

desired frequencies, coursing through two Ferrite core

Electromagnets as Sliders (FES) set one at each side of the
seesaw fulcrum (SSF), between four Permanent Magnets (PEM) with
one above and one below set at each side of the SSF, all set as
the illustrations show.
Operations crescendo into both FES each Repelled (REP) from
one PEM on one side of the SSF while simultaneously Attracted
(ATT) to another PEM on one side of the SSF, thus sliding to and
fro their set courses, and consequently rotating the two Cranks
(CRK) as desired, just as the illustrations show.
i#1

i#2

i#3

i#4

All being due to the determined and desired wiring of both

FES and the alternating polarity of both FES as AC power courses
through both FES.
A major role is also played by the Crank Slider Link (CSL)
which is hollow inside and has fixed compression springs within
at both ends, all to aid the cylindrical weight(s) within the
CSL, that is(are) tossed to and fro within the CSL on every tilt,
to get desired motion, as shifting weights and springs would very

well help or augment, in impulse generation and overcoming

inertia as well as augment momentum initiation and continuation.
Operations connote that 0.5 Hz AC power coursing both FES,
will make for an impulse generated start, for the FES and for the
CRK both connected by the CSL; which means in 2 seconds the CSL
tilts or tends downward on one side of the Fulcrum (FUL) as it
tends upward on the other side of the FUL, exactly as the
illustrations show.
So at 0.5 Hz AC power, we have 1 tilt per 2 seconds and 2
tilts per 4 seconds being 1 oscillation per 4 seconds for the CSL
and 1 revolution per 4 seconds for both CRK, implying 15
Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) for both CRK.
Therefore during the 3rd second, as desired (needed) or
predetermined (preset) an instant preset modulation by the MODEM
from 0.5 Hz AC power to 250 Hz AC power coursing both FES,
implies 250 tilts and 125 oscillations per second for the CSL.
This being 125 revolutions or rotations per second for both
CRK turning clockwise, and 7,500 RPM for the CRK. That is
acceleration from 0 RPM through 15 RPM to 7,500 RPM in 3 seconds.
Operation consistency to accelerate much in a little while,
and sustain speed or velocity for a long while, depends on the
materials and dimensions and strengths or properties of the parts
used for the fuselage including the CRK, CSL, FUL, FES and PEM.
It also depends on the MODEM and INV, the DC power output of
either BA1 or BA2 being used. Operations could apply to power
generation by connecting Alternators (ALT) and or Dynamos to each
rotating CRK; as it may very well apply to transportation and
desired motion in industry and machinery as well as robotics
even, by proper connection of tyres and appropriate moving parts:
all being so long as the load carried (work output desired) or
effort required (work input needed) isn't beyond the capacity of
any grade and category fitting the very application, as well
every reiteration, of this innovation.
This one innovation is promising in that it alludes to
better power generation and transportation, it is as an
electromagnetic yet mechanic seesaw leveraging electromagnetism
and mass motion in its operation and electronics in its
regulation.
#3 CONCLUSION
Being novel and promising enough to research and develop on
with the aim to commercialize it; to physically practically
prototype this innovation, a select group of scientists and
technicians and engineers can work it out with myself and my team
of independent researchers as myself.
Great progress and good success we will have being given
ample time and adequate resources.

conditions apply.
