Chapter 1

Product introduction

1.1 Unique
z Friendly Scan function
TV Expert could be easily defined as a TV player, no matter digital TV
signal or analog TV signal. Avoid unfriendly setting, just plug in cable and
scan, you get everything on cable!
z Channel manager setup your personal channel list
- Individual channel setting(Video/Audio format)
- Channel rename/resorting
- Set Favorite channel
TV Expert allows you manage what you get from TV cable. For example,
you can put PAL TV in List 1~20, SECAM TV in List 21~25, DVB-t TV in
List 26~40 or what else you wish.
z User self-define volume between different sources.
This function prevents the suddenly high-volume voice while switching
video sources. Protect your ears and laud speakers.
z Flexible Remote controller setting
TV Expert supports different Remote controller. Each remote controller
can redefine every button.

z Pentium IV 2.4 GHz / Centrino 1.6 GHz or faster or Equivalent AMD CPU
z 512 MB or more system memory
z 20 MB disk space for installation
z DirectX 9.0c compatible video card
z DirectSound compatible sound card

1.3 Connect Audio Cable


For WS810 or WS880 TV Card , you must install an additional Audio Cable.
Please see below picture.

Blue side connects to PC

For TV Expert audio setting please read page 19.


If you do not use a WS810 or WS880 TV Card, you dont need to
connect this cable, but please read page 19 and 20 for TV Expert audio
setting.

When you see this message

Reason A:
You didnt install any TV Tuner yet. So you can not complete the installation.
Reason B:
Probably your TV tuner is not well seated, please double check it or change
another slot.
Reason C:
This TV Tuner might be bad. Please change another new one.

c. TimeShift Duration
You can choose 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 mins buffer time for TimeShift.
d. Video Display Mode
Set the display mode for VRM7 or VRM9
If you encounter video issue, you can change display mode to fix.
PS : As you encounter any issues, please follow the way of page 34 to send
your computer information describe your question by e-mail.

3.3 Set up the Windows Media Center


If your OS is Vista Premium / Ultimate or MCE 2005, you also can
use MCE to watch TV. Please follow the steps to set up your settings.

A. TVR 3.0 Introduction
1.1 Installation
You can install TVR 3.0 from Utility folder in CD. TVE & TVR can be
installed together in same OS without problem.
After installed TVR3.0, click shortcut and it will launch wizard to set you setting.
