History
The brand MWM is proud of 140 years of continuous innovation.
1871 The inventor of the automobile, Carl Benz, established his
Mechanische Werksttte in Mannheim, Germany the
foundation of MWM.
1880 Production of the first gas engine.
1886 German Patent No. 37435 for a patented motorcar was issued.

In the region of Vilnius a biogas container with a TCG 2016 V16C was
installed by MWM partner in the Baltic States UAB ENVIJA. The gen
sets provide an electrical output of 1.6 MWel. The advantage for the
customer is the planning, design and delivery as well as the service
and maintenance during operation out of one hand. The CHP-plant
supplies a village with clean power and heat.

Since October 2011, WWTP in Vilnius operates the CHP and delivers
electricity to the national grid. The substrate from waste water
treatment bulk is used to drive two biogas engine type TCG 2020 V12
with an electrical output of 2,4 MW.

November 2010

Since November 2010 on the landfill site of Panavezys operates the


CHP and delivers electricity to the national grid. The extracted gas
from the landfill site is used to drive actually one biogas engine type
TCG 2016 V08C with an electrical output of 400 kW. A second engine
with 1x TCG 2016 V12C with 600 kWe is under construction.

July 2012

As part of a modernization of the Composting Plant Essenheim a CHP


unit was put into operation. Biogas produced during the fermentation
is used to drive an engine type TCG 2020 V12. The plant generates an
output of 1,200 kW electrical and 1,224 kW thermal power achieving
an electrical efficiency of 41.8 and a thermal efficiency of 42.2 percent.

About 20 tons of corn silage input are processed every day. The waste
heat of the CHP plant is used for drying the corn as well as for heating
of the property buildings and partly the nearby city of Ltjenburg. The
plant ensures the avoidance of 4,000 tons CO2 equivalents per year.

The Power plant Schwallungen is with approximately six Million


Euros capital expenditure the largest biogas plant in Thringen. The
plant consists of two TCG 2020 V12 K gensets and generates biogas
which is used for the production of electrical and thermal power.

In Mlme a biogas plant with a generating set was built in cooperation


with SEVA Energie AG. The generated electricity is fed into the public
grid. The incidental heat is mostly used by the plant itself. Thus, a
maximal biogas production form the substrate is assured in the
fermentation process.

The village Neuhof is located in an UNESCO biosphere reservation in


Mecklenburg-Pomerania. The TCG 2016 V16B produces 716 kWel. The
el. power is directly fed into the grid and the heat is used on site.
Based on further measures the CHP-plant complies to the emission
requirements.
