4. DUBAI
However after doing so much research it really does seem an incredible place to live! So
much to do there (beach, watersports, malls, desserts, skiing!!), and it is so multi cultural and
cosmopolitan and would be such an exciting change!

UAE
Is made of is one of the seven emirates that make up the country population is 2 000 000.
It is a cosmopolitan multi cultural city.

Today, Dubai has emerged as a cosmopolitan metropolis that has grown steadily to become
a global city and a business and cultural hub of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region.
[8]

It is also a major transport hub for passengers and cargo. AlthoughDubai's economy was

historically built on the oil industry, the emirate's Western-style model of business drives its
economy with the main revenues now coming from tourism, aviation, real estate, and
financial services.[9][10][11] Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative
large construction projects and sports events. The city has become symbolic for
its skyscrapers and high-rise buildings, in particular the world's tallest building, the Burj
Khalifa. In addition, Dubai is home to other ambitious development projects including man-

made islands, hotels, and some of the largest shopping malls in the region and the world.
This increased attention has also highlighted labor and human rights issues concerning the
city's largely South Asian workforce.[12]Dubai's property market experienced a
EMIRATES AIRLINE It is the largest airline in the Middle East, operating nearly 3,400 flights
per week [3][4] from its hub at Dubai International Airport, to more than 133 cities in 74
countries across six continents.[5] Cargo activities are undertaken by the Emirates
Group's Emirates SkyCargo division.[6]
As a result Emirates was conceived in March 1985 with backing from Dubai's royal family,
with Pakistan International Airlines providing two of the airline's first aircraft on wet-lease. It
was required to operate independent of government subsidies, apart from $10 million in startup capital. The airline became headed byAhmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the airline's present
chairman.
Emirates operates a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing wide-body aircraft and is one of the
few airlines to operate an all-wide-body aircraft fleet, at the centre of which is the Boeing 777.
Emirates also has orders for 140 Airbus A380s and became the second operator of the type
after Singapore Airlines. Emirates is an industry bellwether for aircraft purchases, having
purchased 200 aircraft in 2013 alone.[14]
Emirates has built up a strong brand name as a leader in the aviation industry, particularly in
terms of service excellence, and its very rapid growth, coupled with consistent profitability.
Emirates has won numerous awards it was ranked 8th by Air Transport World for "Airline of
the Year" in 2012. The award has been given based on recognition of its commitment to
safety and operational excellence, customer service trendsetters, financial condition
including a 25-year consecutive annual profit.[15] Emirates is rated as a four-star airline by
aviation consultancy group Skytrax. The airline was voted Airline of the Year in 2013.[16]

an essay on a selected topic. Popular choices are include: introducing

available. What should you do?
There are similar variants to this situation as well. At the end of the
discussion, one of the assessors comes in and plays the part of someone
who didnt receive a car. You have to comfort her and this tests your
empathising skills as well. In order to do well in this group discussion you
have to bear in mind the key values, mentioned above as well as not

being too overbearing. For more information and tips, see our group
exercise section.

strenghts

I pride myself on my customer service skills and

my ability to resolve what could be difficult
situations.
I like to make sure that my work is perfect, so I tend to
perhaps spend a little too much time checking it.
However, I've come to a good balance by setting up a
system to ensure everything is done correctly the first
time.

weakneses
Being organized wasn't my strongest point, but I
implemented a time management system that really
helped my organization skills.
Sometimes, I spend more time than necessary on a
task, or take on tasks personally that could easily be
delegated to someone else.

How do you handle stress

A typical interview question, asked to get a sense of how

you handle on-the-job stress, is "How do you handle
pressure?" Examples of good responses include:

Stress is very important to me. With stress, I do the

best possible job. The appropriate way to deal with stress
is to make sure I have the correct balance between good
stress and bad stress. I need good stress to stay motivated
and productive.
I react to situations, rather than to stress. That way, the
situation is handled and doesn't become stressful.
I actually work better under pressure and I've found
that I enjoy working in a challenging environment.
From a personal perspective, I manage stress by
visiting the gym every evening. It's a great stress reducer.
Prioritizing my responsibilities so I have a clear idea of
what needs to be done when, has helped me effectively
manage pressure on the job.
If the people I am managing are contributing to my
stress level, I discuss options for better handling difficult
situations with them.
I find that when I'm under the pressure of a deadline, I
can do some of my most creative work.

WHY WOULD WE HIRE YOU

Because I am very professional in every job I do,because I
have exxelent time management,I am polit and intelligent
person that knows hot to handle difficult situations and

Difficult situations
When asked the job interview question "How did you handle
a challenge?" be sure to include specific examples of how
you handled a particular difficult situation. Discuss how you
researched the issue and contributed to finding a solution.
Examples of good responses include:

During a difficult financial period, I was able to

satisfactorily negotiate repayment schedules with multiple
vendors.

When the software development of our new product

stalled, I coordinated the team which managed to get the
schedule back on track. We were able to successfully
troubleshoot the issues and solve the problems, within a
very short period of time.

A long-term client was about to take their business to a

competitor. I met with the customer and was able to
change how we handled the account on a day-to-day basis,
in order to keep the business.
Chalenging
I find challenging when people around you do not see a
bigger picture or canot see success and are not motivated to
achieve something.because I am a person who strives for
success and evolution of your skill and whole being carreer.
When people are not organized and dont respect schedule
and working ethics.

Have you ever had to deal with a difficult client? How did you do so?

Yes I had a client who was always complaining on food that it was to cold or to
hot,or quality ,but the food was great and we never had complaints really just this
man working in a firm who was really unhappy and negative all the time. I told my
shefs and driver that ewe pay attention when we maked food for the company

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A CABIN CREW MEMBER?

You will, most probably, have already answered this question when completing
the application form. If this is the case, have a look at your application form
response prior to the interview to make sure you give an alternative answer and
also that you do not contradict yourself the second time around.
When answering this question, concentrate on covering the following
elements:
-The main reason why your ambition.
-The suitability of your personal qualities and attributes.
-The positive aspects of the role variety, flexibility, working with others, etc.
-Helping others/Customer care, etc.
I enjoy my current job, I would now like a career that is more challenging, varied
and exciting. I believe my own personal qualities would suit the role of a cabin
crew member

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU SAW ANOTHER CABIN CREW

MEMBER BEING RUDE TO A PASSENGER?
Whilst this type of situation is very rare, it has happened and therefore, you
should be ready for this type of question. As cabin crew you have a lot of
responsibility on your hands and therefore, you should try to resolve the situation
yourself. It is important to always apologise when something has gone wrong and
in this case, this is what you should do first. Try to soften the situation by perhaps
offering the passenger free soft drinks. Do not offer free alcohol as this could
make them aggressive as time goes on and they think about the situation they
have just found themselves in. Try to avoid escalating the situation to a formal
complaint unless the passenger absolutely insists.
- If you need to, report the incident to your senior cabin crew member.

Hi Madalina,
I am happy you find the website useful. To answer your questions:
1A Mr. Smith You can see what other available seats are in the
plane and offer him options. I have seat 1F available for you that has
more leg room or we have row 10ABC available if you wish to have
the entire row for yourself
10C Mrs. Jones Mostly what parents want is to have their children
entertained and acknowledged. A child is mostly happy with anything

he can bang on or play with so you can use plastic cups, papers and
pen for drawing and my personal favorite, a paper signed by the
captain and the entire crew, Congratulations Baby Jones for your first
flight with our airline Big impact
As for the flat-mates exercise, yes, pairing them by nationality is not a
good idea. Actually, how you solve the issue is absolutely irrelevant.
Is how you and your group members agree and disagree on this
certain topic, how you integrate in the group and how you reach a
conclusion.
All the best with your interviews,
-Kara
