VALUE BEYOND TIMBER is the corporate creed of the group, deep roots dates back to 1909
when the roots germinated. Since then these 100+ years have been a challenging process and
the transformation to a corporate entity is based on the firm foundation laid by our promoters,
employees and consumers, which has always been at the nucleus of all our activity.
Associate Group is a unique combination of two large entities Jawahar Saw Mills and Farouk
Sodagar Darvesh Group in partnership for more than a century and currently cordially managed
by its fourth generation entrepreneurs. The Groups Associate operates in 4 continents and
more than 12 countries across the globe. It has rightly earned its distinction of locally grown
INDIAN MULTINATIONAL.
The Group is capable to initiate, manage and complete any forestry and plantation projects in
any part of the globe. Group prime focus is to deliver locally made high quality products at
affordable prices to the international market. With century old business relation established
across the globe since the year 1909, we are the first and largest importers and exporters of
various species of timber, plywood, veneers and allied products in India with associates in more
than 12 countries worldwide viz., in Nigeria, Ghana, Singapore, Myanmar, Panama, UAE, Oman,
Saudi Arabia, Myanmar and Costa Rica.
We are happy and take pride to state that we have been awarded certificate of merit from
Ministry of Agricultures and Forests, Timber Corporation, from Union of Myanmar to us for
having completed 80 years in the Timber Trade.
Recognition of the intrinsic strength for the group has been underlined through Awards &
Certificates of Merit down the years. Within the Timber Trade and the Building Materials Supply
Industries, the Associate Lumber Group has earned wide spread and consistent support which is
