OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE


1. To familiarize students to the basics nuances of Business English
2. Prepare the ground work for effective oral and written communication.
3. Enable the students to compose preliminary business message with clarity and precision.
COURSE OUTLINE
English is the language of corporate India. The course is a fine blend of theory and practice and teaches the
application of English language to business communication. Beginning with the fundamentals of Business
English, it moves on to the more advanced techniques of effective written and oral communication. It also deals
with the strategies of writing effective letters and E- mails and adapting English language to different business
situations.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon the completion of this course the students should be able to:
1. Select the most effective words in Business English.
2. Construct clear sentences and paragraph.
3. Compose effective letters and emails to cater to different business situations.
4. Adapt their language to specific situations.
