field instrumentation and equipment with minimum disruption and
risk. Alderley has already interfaced to the following hardware:
DCS (Distributed Control System) from Honeywell, Foxboro,
Yokogawa
Gas Chromatographs from Emerson, Yokogawa, ABB
Connectivity with other systems or applications is easily achieved
through a number of standard options:
Modbus master / slave on either serial or Ethernet
DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange)
OPC (Object linking and embedding for Process Control)
ODBC server (Open Database Connectivity)
The latest system and process alarms are permanently displayed
on all screens, with other alarms being available from the dedicated
alarm screen. Alarms may also be printed and archived as required.
Process and operator events may be displayed, printed and / or
archived to allow a full audit trail of plant operations.
Hardcopy reports of process data are typically printed automatically
on a periodic basis. If required they can be stored for later retrieval.
Standard format reports are available and may be customised to
suit any special requirements. Real-time and historical trending is a
standard feature of the system. Selected process data is archived
to a local database and may be retrieved as required.
