ORACLE VM 3 FOR SPARC IMPLEMENTATION BOOT CAMP

Oracle VM Server for SPARC (previously called Sun Logical Domains) provides highly efficient, enterprise-class
virtualization capabilities for supported Oracle SPARC servers. Oracle VM Server for SPARC leverages the built-in
SPARC hypervisor to subdivide a supported platforms resources (CPUs, memory, network, and storage) by creating
partitions called logical (or virtual) domains. Each logical domain can run an independent operating system. Oracle VM
Server for SPARC provides the flexibility to deploy multiple Oracle Solaris operating systems simultaneously on a single
platform. Oracle VM Server also allows you to create up to 128 virtual servers on one system to take advantage of the
massive thread scale offered by the supported Oracle SPARC servers.
What will we cover:

The Oracle VM 3 for SPARC Implementation Boot Camp is an instructor-led workshop, designed for Oracle partners
who will promote and deliver Oracle VM 3 for SPARC virtualization solution to customers.
The attendees will take this opportunity to learn the architecture and technical details of the Oracle VM for SPARC
solution. Specially tailored demos or labs will aid the attendees aware of the best practice of Oracle VM for SPARC
solution in customer implementations or upgrades. The knowledge from the Boot Camp is also a strongly recommended
step to Oracle VM for SPARC specialization.

The boot camp is available in three-day in class format.


The duration is intended for general reference. The boot camp instructor may recommend a different approach in rolling
