Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions,
and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the
power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a
sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At
the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the
teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will
have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in
the newsletter.

Father God,
Thank You for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor
Ron, and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I
believe Your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey
my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the
earth. I will tell how great You are and how much I love you. I thank You
that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus' name,

I will walk in the Spirit all of the time.

Galatians 5:16
I will live a disciplined and holy life.
I Corinthians 9:27
I am obedient to Gods word.
Romans 6:19

Walking in the Spirit means to listen to our born again spirits

and obey what we know is right.

Romans 12:1, Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice to God,

our Lord, holy and pleasing to Him.

To serve God in a way that is holy and pleasing to Him means to live
pure and holy inside and outside our bodies. Jesus Christ has done
everything possible to help you avoid making mistakes, and having to
live with the consequences of a sinful life. While you are still young it is
important that you learn to discipline your body, to put it under strict
rules so that you may bring glory and honor to God. Many kids begin
doing sinful things while they are young and spend the rest of their lives
trying to quit the sinful ways, but the ways have become habits and the
body will not let them quit easily. So dont start the sin, and you never
have to try to quit. Breaking a habit takes time and discipline, and no
one can break it for you. But with Gods help you can make good choices
that become habits too. The bad part is that being holy and pleasing to
God is not popular. You might be teased or made fun of for living like
Jesus but it gets better. When we ask Jesus to be our Lord, our bodies
become the place where the Holy Spirit lives and He gives us desires
which are just the opposite from what our old sinful nature wanted to
do. Soon Gods ways become your ways.
