CHAPTER I
INTRODUCE
A. DEFINITION OF GAT (GROUP ACTIVITIES THERAPY )
Therapeutic modality therapy group activity is carried nurse to a group of clients who
have the same nursing. Activities are used as therapy, and used as a target group care.
In the dynamics of group interaction occurs interdependent, mutual need and become
a laboratory where clients practicing new behaviors are adaptive to maladaptive repair
old behavior.
B. KIND OF GROUP ACTIVITIES THERAPY
Activity Group Therapy based nursing mental problems most commonly found
grouped as follows:
1. Activity Group Therapy socialization (for clients to withdraw that has reached the
stage of being able to interact in small groups and physically fit).
2. Activity Group Therapy sensory stimulation (for clients who experience sensory
disturbances).
3. Reality orientation therapy group activity (for clients who have to control his
hallucinations hallucinations, delusions clients who have can be oriented to
reality and physically fit).

a. Regulate the flow of the game (Turning on and off the music)

E. SELECTION PROCESS
1. Based on the observation of everyday behavior of clients that are managed by
nurses.
2. Based on the information and discussion about the daily behavior of the client as
well as the possibility of the client group in the room with the nurse.
3. Make eye contact on the client to participate in activities that will do.
CHAPTER II
GROUP ACTIVITY THERAPY : SOCIAL ISOLATION
Group activities therapy : Socialization is an attempt to facilitate a client's ability to socialize
with the issue of social relations.
A. Purpose:
1. The general objective
Clients can improve social relations within the group gradually.
2. Specific objectives

Guideline:
Client sit together around the nurse.

3. Work Phase
1) Explain to the client that they should play the game from the beginning till the
end.
2) Explain the activity will be begin when the music is played. Put the bean at the
spoon. Then client start the game.
3) Client should put the spoon at their mouth and bring it till the finish line.
4) Client who winning the game will get a reward and client who lose the game will
get the punishment.
4. Termination phase
a. ask the clients feeling today.
b. give the compliment for the succes under the group
c. Planning of advance activity
d. Suggest all of the member to train themselves to introducing themselves.
e. Insert client to the daily activity schedule.

Documentation capabilities of the client when TAK`pada satatan nursing process
each client. For example, following the first session taks client, the client is able to
introduce themselves verbally and non-verbally, it is recommended to introduce
themselves to other clients in the ward (for schedule).
2. Session II
Documentation capabilities of the client when TAK`pada records nursing process
each client. For example, a client session II taks, the client is able to express the
feelings felt during therapy.
