Florida City and County Management Association Elects New Officers and Board of Directors

Today, the Florida City and County Management Association (FCCMA) elected new officers and Board of
Directors members at its annual conference, held at the Loews Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal Studios
in Orlando. The Association, created in 1946, is the professional association for city, county and some
special district managers, and their management team members. FCCMA is an affiliate of the
International City/County Management Association (ICMA).
Outgoing president Jill Silverboard, assistant city manager of Clearwater, presided over the conference
and recognized those board members completing their respective terms.
Incoming president, Michael Pleus, city manager of DeLand, recognized new board members following
the election and congratulated them for their time, commitment and leadership. The lifeblood of any
association is its active members; and we are very grateful for the dedicated leadership, vision and hard
work of our board of directors, he said.
The 2015-2016 FCCMA Board of Directors includes:

President-elect: Secretary-Treasurer: Robert R. (Bobby) Green, city manager, Auburndale
Secretary-Treasurer: James R. Hanson, town manager, Orange Park

District I Director: Elmon Lee Garner, city manager, Chattahoochee
District II Director: Sally Sherman, deputy county administrator, Flagler County
District III Director: Norton Bonaparte, city manager, Sanford
District IV Director: George Brown, deputy city manager, Boca Raton 3

District V Director: Daniel A. Rosemond, deputy city manager/CRA director, Hallandale Beach
District VI Director: Roger Reinke, assistant city manager, Naples
District VII Director: Michael Maxwell, town manager, Belleair
District VIII Director: Ryan Leavengood, city manager, Lake Alfred
At-large Director: Michael C. (Mike) Cernech, city manager, Tamarac
At-large Director: Jonathan Evans, city manager, Haines City

At-large Director: Kenneth (Ken) Fields, city manager, Lake Wales


Officers serve terms of one year, running from May to May, to coincide with the annual business
meeting held at the conference. District seats are two-year terms, staggered by even/odd designations.
At-large seats are two-year terms, staggered with two seats in even years, and one seat in odd years.
The Board of Directors meets quarterly to conduct the associations business, and is guided by the
FCCMA Strategic Plan, which is available for viewing at http://fccma.org/strategic-plan/.
