Redundancy switchover
Regarding the redundancy the device behaves passively. This means the master determines which channel is the primary and which is the backup one. There are two parameters for the redundancy in the user defined area of the mapping file.
Number of Masters:
The parameter indicates whether the communication shall be carried out with one
master via two communication channels (1) or with two maters (2).
Primary channel after startup:
The parameter indicates the primary channel after device startup. The status of the
channel will be changed if the communication is carried out via the other channel
(communication with one master) or if the command to change the primary channel
has been send (communication with two masters).

Note:
The following prerequisites are necessary for using the functionality Display of
module-specific information at the SIPROTEC device:
redundant IEC 60870-5-103 communication module (AME2 module) with firmware
SIPROTEC device firmware which supports this function, e.g.:
7SJ61, 7SJ62 and 7SJ64 device firmware from V4.70
Changing parameters for the IEC 60870-5-103 slave of the SIPROTEC device is
exclusively possible using the DIGSI 4 parameterization system (version 4.8 or
higher).
If the display of module-specific information is not supported by the firmware of the
used SIPROTEC device then the below-mentioned menu items are not offered for
selection.
Is a invalid IEC 60870-5-103 module firmware on the communication module, then the
following text is displayed in a SIPROTEC device in case of selecting the menu item
for display of module-specific information:
**** LIST EMPTY ****
The values in the display of module-specific information are actualized every 500 ms.
It is therefore possible that short-time changes of information are not displayed.
The display of module-specific information is accessible with the following menu items

Note:
The max. number of routable objects of an information type varies according to the
chosen mapping file.
If e.g. a measured value, not routed in the mapping file per default, shall be transferred
via IEC 60870-5-103 then first a measured value already routed has to be removed
from system interface so that the IEC 60870-5-103 point gets available.
An error message is shown if all routing possibilities of an information type are occupied and if it is nevertheless tried to route an information of this type.
Adding an
allocation
Adding an allocation requires (in addition to the identification in the system interface
column of the DIGSI 4 Configuration matrix) the definition of IEC 60870-5-103 specific parameter (e.g. function type and information number) and scaling values for
measured values (scaling of measured values ref. to chap. 2.5).
Therefore, after adding the allocation the "Object properties" dialog window which is
used to define the required parameter is opend automatically.
The function type and the information number can be selected independently of the
object type in all dialog windows. The range is provided by the mapping file.
There are additional parameters for the individual object types which are required for
the IEC 60870-5-103 protocol:
Messages:
Data Unit:
It is possible to transfer the message with ASDU 1 (Time- Tagged Message) or
ASDU 2 (Time- Taged Message with relative time)
Subject to general interrogation:
With yes this message will transmit during an general interrogation.

Measurands:
Data Unit:
Measurands are transferred via ASDU 3 (Measurands I) and ASDU 9 (Measurands
II). ASDU 3 is within in compatible definition and the values and the value order are
fixed. Values and value order of ASDU 9 however is changeable via DIGSI 4.
Function type / Info. number:
For ASDU 9 two measurand-telegrams are available:
a) function type 134, info. no. 137:
sixteen measurands (position 1 to 16 of the telegram) are predefined.
This default can be changed by either taking the measurand out off the telegram
(removing the X on the destination System interface) or by moving it into the other
telegram (changing the Function type and Info. number).
b) function type 130, info. no. 135:
no predefinition; sixteen position are available for free allocation
Position in telegram:
Entry cannot be selected freely. DIGSI 4 sets this value automatically on the next
free position.

43
Parametrization in DIGSI 4
Dependent on the information type the IEC 60870-5-103 parameters are in the property sheet "Protocol info source" or "Protocol info destination" of the "Object properties" dialog window.
2.4
Interface status
indications
If the SIPROTEC device is connected to the IEC 60870-5-103 network via a redundant interface then a (single) line-break does not lead to a communication interruption
between the IEC 60870-5-103 master and the IEC 60870-5-103 slave.
This line-break however must be recognized and repaired because with this line-break
the redundancy is not present any more.
Two interface status indications (Error Communication Channel 1 and Error
Communication Channel 2) are available which can be routed using DIGSI to
SIPROTEC objects (Internal single-point Annunciations/Taggings) and then evaluated via CFC or LED indications in the SIPROTEC device or transmitted to the IEC
60870-5-103 master.
Allocation in
DIGSI 4
The two interface status indications of the redundant IEC 60870-5-103 communication
module are offered additionally to the routing possibilities of the selected mapping if
an (previously created user-defined) Internal single-point Annunciations/Taggings is
routed to Source system interface using the DIGSI Configuration matrix (ref.
to chap. 2.3):

Note:
The Function type = 65535 indicate that these are no IEC 60870-5-103 indications

Requirement:
The interface status indications shall be transferred to the supervisory control system
and a break in the RS485 line is to be indicated with a LED at the SIPROTEC device.

The measurements are transferred as percent value in the IEC 60870-5-103 protocol.
Therefore this adjusting is the same for all indices.

If after the change of the scaling a bus specific parameter is changed (e.g. IEC 608705-103 Slave address, ref. to chap. 2.2), then all scalings are reset to their defaults according to the point lists (ref. to Point lists manuals of the SIPROTEC devices) again.

the "Source of time synchronisation" has to be configured as "Fieldbus" in DIGSI 4.

Note:
If two IEC 60870-5-103 communication masters are connected, then only the primary
master can carry out the time synchronisation. The synchronisation commands from
the backup master will be ignored.

Cable
For the wiring of the devices standardized patch cable can be used. We recommend
shielded Cat5 cable for it (at least S/UTP).
In addition we provide adapters with whose help a RS485 bus can be built up.
Note:
Cable and adapters aren't contained in the scope of supply of the module. To order it
please contact your Siemens representative.
