State Vendor Development Programme

As per Action plan target 2013-14, Six State Vendor Development Programmes were conducted
across the state of Chhattisgarh. The main aim of the programme is to create awareness about the
Public Procurement Policy 2012 and have an interface between the Central Public Sector
Undertakings like Bhilai Steel Plant, South Eastern Coal Fields Ltd., South East Central
Railway, National Thermal Power Corporation etc. and MSMEs of Chhattisgarh. The MSMEs
got benefiitted out of this interface and started generating their bisiness with the CPSUs.

As per Action plan target 2013-14 twelve Entreprenuership cum Skill Development Programmes
were conducted for Schedule caste candidates across Chattisgarh. There are 294 candidates
participated in the ESDP training programmes and got trained in various skills like Graphic
Design, Mobile phone repairing, UPS repairing, Garments Manufacturing, House wiring,
Electrical Gadgets Repairing etc. The candidates were imparted training on the above mention
skills by expert trainers and faculties drawn from different Govt. , Non Govt. departments and
different institutes and Universities.
After imparting the 4 weeks Skill Development part , last 2 weeks were devoted to various topics
like qualities of successful Entreprenuer ,Financial Assistance, Quality Management, Working
Capital Management , EM Filling, Accounting, preparation of project report,role and functions
of Banks, District Industries Centres, KVIC, MSME-DO and their support to entrepreneurs were
discussed with the participants. The detailed schemes of Ministry of MSME and MSME-DO
including the PMEGP scheme were discussed elaborately with the participants.
Entreprenuership cum Skill Development Programmes were also conducted
at Industrial
Training Institute at Korba, Nagari and Pulgaon.
After the completion of 6-weeks Entreprenuership cum Skill Development Programmes (SC) ,
the successful participants were distributed with the Certificates. The participants were

As per Action plan target 2013-14, Three Management Development Programmes on Marketing
management were conducted for SC candidates across Chhattisgarh. There are 70 candidates
participated in the MDP training programmes and got trained in different MDP topics by various
faculties drawn from different Govt., Non Govt. departments and different institutes and
Universities.
The MDP is of One Week Full time duration which was devoted to various topics like Marketing
Management What, Why and How, Principles of Marketing Management, Price Mix, Product
Mix, Consumer Behavior, Communication and Marketing, TQM in Marketing, Sales Promotion
etc.
participants were confident to take of entrepreneurial venture after the completion of the MDP

Miscellaneous Reports
The Pre-testing of MSMEs for Index of Industrial Production and and details of 10 leading
working MSMEs per product for Index of Industrial Production were completed by this Institute.
The work was done in association with the Directorate of Industries, Chhattisgarh and all the
District Trade and Industries Centres of Chhattisgarh.
The State Industrial Profile of Chhattisgarh was prepare nicely which was released by the
Honble Member of Parliament, Durg on the eve of inauguration ceremony of the National
Vendor Development Programme at Bhilai, Dist :- Durg, on 21/02/2014.
As per the action plan target of 2013-14 five District Industrial Profiles of Raigarh, Raipur,
Rajnanandgaon, Mahasamund and Gariyaband districs were prepared.
One Seminar on Barcode and one Seminar on QMS/ QTT, were also conducxted by this Institute
in this financial year 2013-14.
