Obstetric practice with or without gynaecology (MOB) S$25,695


The management of pregnancy after 24 weeks gestation. If a General Practitioner carries out any
planned deliveries then the intrapartum obstetric rate must be paid. A non-obstetric GP may look
after a patient up to delivery, provided that the delivery itself tales place in a hospital under the care
of an obstetrician or other suitably qualified person.

High Risk Cosmetic / aesthetic practice (COS) S$28,250


(ie treatments or procedures which, in the opinion of the Council, have as their primary purpose
the alteration of the non-pathological external appearance of the patient).

Super High Risk (SHS) S$20,930


Neurosurgery; spinal surgery (surgical procedures performed on the spine and/or meninges).

Very High Risk (VHR)


Hand surgery; gynaecology; trauma and orthopaedic surgery. S$18,625
High Risk (MHR) S$5,950
Cardiothoracic surgery; colorectal surgery; endocrine surgery, general surgery; ophthalmology with
laser refractive surgery; otorhinolaryngology; plastic/reconstructive surgery; urology; vascular surgery.

Accident and emergency; anaesthetics; cardiology; intensive care; neonatology; oral and
maxillo-facial surgery; paediatric surgery; radiology; radiotherapy.

Low Risk (MLR) S$1,610


Community health; dermatology, endocrinology; gastroenterology; general medicine;
geriatric medicine; haematology; immunology; infectious diseases; nephrology; neurology;
nuclear medicine; occupational health; oncology; ophthalmology with no laser refractive
surgery – except cataracts; paediatrics; palliative medicine; pathology; pharmaceutical
physician; psychiatry; rehabilitation medicine; renal medicine; respiratory medicine;
rheumatology; sports medicine.

Family practitioners who undertake common and routine minor procedures, which include, but are
not limited to, removal of superficial skin lesions, joint injections and drainage of abscesses.
