Construct Canal
Construct the canal at the trench at Parit Raja will reduce the risk of getting flood to the area. It
can manage the flow of the trench that always does not flowing smoothly.

Canal also can prevent from stream side falls apart. When the canal is constructed, the flow of
the trench will go smooth. The flood was happened at this area because the flow was stuck at
certain channels.

Installation Garbage Trap

Parit Raja has been flooded before. One of the factors that cause of flood is poor of drainage
system and clogged drain. Installation the Garbage Trap at the trench or drainage has been
purposed.

On the observation, the flow of trench in Parit Raja are slow and sometime it static. The garbage
moves to the garbage trap because of the flow stays static. To overcome this problem, to install
turbine bas been suggested, to make the flow in the trench. The garbage will trap on the
screening and it will be collected manually. The period table of collecting garbage needs to be
considered to collect the garbage.

Preventing the Domestic Effluent from Entering the River

This area is residential area which has a lot of people around. There is lot of restaurants in there.
When the observation made, the restaurants has released their effluent to the trench. At certain
place of the trench, its water has turned to the black color and has become waste water. It also
produces bad smell and gives the uncomfortable environment for the residential.

All the effluent from the domestic waste must be transfer to the septic tank to avoid the effluent
enter to the river. The septic tank will collect all the effluent release. It will confine the effluent

and prevent the bad odor. If it can be managed wisely and immediately, the flood also can be
avoided.

Deeper the trench

The trench at Parit Raja can not endure the water flow when raining. The level of trench will
instantly increases due to heavy rain. Deeper of the trench is one of the solutions to avoid the
water level to increase and automatically avoid the flood.

Agriculture Management (Palm Tree)
All the people around Parit Raja know that the area is active with agriculture activities which are
the plantation of palm tree. Due to the activity, they will release the fertilizer to the trench and it
will give the impact the water in the trench. In the end of the day, the water will turn waste water.
To avoid this issue to get even worst, the management of the agriculture waste must be done. The
management must be made by the City Council. They need to be strict about regulation and rule
to make the people involve take their responsibility.
The suggestion they can do is construct agriculture effluent channel and transfer the agriculture
effluent to the specific place that can not give effect to the environment.
