StudioAnnotate:
StudioAnnotateisdesignedtogiveyoutheabilitytoaddcontenttoyourPetrelproject.Thiscontentcan
includefilesresidingoutsideoftheproject.Thesefilescanbeonyourcomputer,onacompanyinternet
orintranetorelsewhereontheweb.Linkstothesefilesarecarriedwiththeproject.

ThesefilescanbesharedwithotherprojectsviatheReferenceProjectTool(RPT).Anytypeoffile
(sound,document,PDF,video,etc.)canbeadded.Anytypeofnote(formattedtext,embeddedpicture,
hyperlink,URL,etc.)canalsobeadded.Thefilesareconnectedtoalocationonanobjectinawindow.

Forexample,displayonlysomeorallwellsina3Dwindow.Zoominfairlyclosearoundthemandmake
themnearlyverticalinthewindow.Thisallowsyoutoseethewellboreswhichwewilluseasreference
locations.

2. Awindowappears.Navigatetothefoldercontainingthefiletoattach.Highlightthefilename
andclickOpen.Thefilemaybesometypeofpicture(atif,jpg,etc.),aWorddocument,a
spreadsheet,etc.

3. Amarkerappearsonthewellboreatthechosenlocation.Also,anAnnotatefolderiscreatedin
theInputpane(ifitdoesntalreadyexist).Underthisfolder,anAttachmentsfolderiscreated
withthefilelocatedunderthisAttachmentsfolder.

4. Notethat,likeallotherPetrelobjects,theboxinfrontoftheattachmentmustbecheckedtosee
itinthegraphicswindow.Afteritisdisplayed,inSelect/pickmode,rightclickonthemarkerand
chooseOpen.YoucouldalsohaverightclickedontheobjectintheInputpaneandchosenOpen.
