Thomas M. Fischer, General Manager of Corinthia Hotel Budapest was awarded
for being the best hotelier of Budapest.

members of the tourism sector. Tough competition in a very strong field: in more than 60
categories and with 9000 votes the committee of Budapest Week Publishing, the publishing

the professional jury highlights 10 outstanding individuals, who have excelled in their field
and created something unique, exceptional and valuable for the capital and Hungary as well.
With an international experience of leadership at the grandest hotel alliances as Kempinski,
Hyatt, Hilton and various types of properties like city centre locations, airport and boutique
hotels, resorts and golf operations, the German businessman Thomas M. Fischer had several
opportunities to show his skills. With Corinthia Hotel Budapest it is unquestionable that he
succeeded again, and with the award of Best of Budapest 2015 it is not a secret anymore.
Just mentioning the most important results in the recent past, Hotel Management created
the Food for thought programme for a more effective way of participating in a conference
with a carefully designed, special menu. In addition to that, an utter reconstruction was
performed by adding the Royal Lounge to the hotels facilities, offering even greater service
to meeting clients. Refurbishment of Executive One-Bedroom Suites took place that meets
the highest requirements of modern ergonomics and interior design. It is also important to
highlight the continual cooperation with charitable organisations, like the Hungarian Red
Cross and the Magic Lamp Wish Fulfilling Foundation, in order to provide professional social
assistance. Moreover, the hotel has recently launched a management trainee programme as
well, encouraging talented students to start their career at one of the grandest members of
the hotel industry. Gastro Boulevard Budapest, the 6 in 1 set of top class outlets of Corinthia
also showed a new approach towards brighter audiences.
It is definitely a great mission to manage the property and team of Corinthia Hotel Budapest,
winner of Hotel of the Year 2014, awarded by the Hungarian Hotel Association. With the
120 year-old Royal history in the 21 st century, the management cherishes all the values
inherited from the past, but at the same time keeps being progressive and provides all the
