whoisnotadevoteeofKrsnaintheparampara(disciplicsuccession).Generallythesocalledscholars,politicians,philosophers,andsvamis,without
perfectknowledgeofKrsna,trytobanishorkillKrsnawhenwritingcommentaryonBhagavadgita.SuchunauthorizedcommentaryuponBhagavadgita
isknownasMayavadibhasya,andLordCaitanyahaswarnedusabouttheseunauthorizedmen.LordCaitanyaclearlysaysthatanyonewhotriesto
understandBhagavadgitafromtheMayavadipointofviewwillcommitagreatblunder.Theresultofsuchablunderwillbethatthemisguidedstudent
ofBhagavadgitawillcertainlybebewilderedonthepathofspiritualguidanceandwillnotbeabletogobacktohome,backtoGodhead.Ouronly
purposeistopresentthisBhagavadgitaAsItIsinordertoguidetheconditionedstudenttothesamepurposeforwhichKrsnadescendstothisplanet
onceinadayofBrahma,orevery8,640,000,000years.ThispurposeisstatedinBhagavadgita,andwehavetoacceptitasitisotherwisethereisno
pointintryingtounderstandtheBhagavadgitaanditsspeaker,LordKrsna.LordKrsnafirstspokeBhagavadgitatothesungodsomehundredsof
millionsofyearsago.WehavetoacceptthisfactandthusunderstandthehistoricalsignificanceofBhagavadgita,withoutmisinterpretation,onthe
authorityofKrsna.TointerpretBhagavadgitawithoutanyreferencetothewillofKrsnaisthegreatestoffense.Inordertosaveoneselffromthis
offense,onehastounderstandtheLordastheSupremePersonalityofGodhead,asHewasdirectlyunderstoodbyArjuna,LordKrsna'sfirstdisciple.
SuchunderstandingofBhagavadgitaisreallyprofitableandauthorizedforthewelfareofhumansocietyinfulfillingthemissionoflife."
