1. Lay the predicate.
Cite a passage from your reading (indicate the author, year, title,
source) to guide your classmates (reporting team) on your topic. This
sets the focus or the reference issue for the discussion. This also
determines whether you have understood the concept, the theory or
the lesson.
Ex. According to Author (YEAR), cite the passage that lays your predicate . . .
2. Cite a scenario.
Given the above context (lay the predicate), cite an event -- you have
read (if possible, indicate the author, year, title, source), or a possible
or the scenario, or a practical situation or trend which may support or
negate/defy the predicate. This also determines the depth and expanse
of your understanding of the concept, the theory or the lesson.
Ex.Suppose a <manager / an employee>cite the event /scenario . . .
3. Ask the question.
Ask your classmate:
a. his/her stand or take on the issue given the ideals of the predicate

Thought Provoking Questions
Q1. The concept I find the most interesting is the human resource
management process. Its interesting how organizations have evolved
from a traditional view of adding manpower like cogs in the corporate
machine to identifying, training and retaining employees with
rewards, benefits and personal non-monetary incentives.

Q2. I want to learn more about affirmative action. Its part of the
sophistication of workplace environment wherein organizations begin
to see employees not just a means to their profit but also partners in
the groups growth. But affirmative action promotes diversification of
the workplace by ensuring that minorities and marginalized are
included in the organizations development.

Q3. McLean (2010) argues that online interviews as a substitute for faceto-face interviews with candidates may help organizations be more
efficient in the recruitment process but might also leave out certain
sectors in society who dont have access to the web. Suppose youre
a manager of a company seeking diversification, how will you
reconcile having a technologically-competitive recruitment process
and an inclusive candidate program?
