Cruise to Slow Flight
1. Reduce power to 1800 rpm
2. Apply left rudder to maintain wing level & ball center

4. Speed white arc, lowering flaps to 10
5. Hold the nose, check VSI: 0 fpm
6. Check speed approaching 80 mph/70 knots
7. Open power as required to maintain slow flight speed
8. Apply right rudder to maintain ball center
9. Maintain altitude VSI: 0 fpm, heading and trim the A/C

Slow Flight to Cruise


1. Open power to 2100 rpm
2. Apply right rudder to maintain wing level ball center
3. Speed will increase to 100 mph/87 knots
4. Flaps 10 up
5. Hold the nose, check VSI: 0 fpm
6. Maintain wing level ball center
7. Maintain heading & altitude
8. Trim the A/C

CLEAN STALL EXERCISE


Execution:

Cruise to Slow Flight descend

3. Speed white arc, lowering flaps to 10down
4. Speed approaching slow speed, set the nose down
5. Trim the A/C

Recovery:
1. Lower the nose positive below horizon
2. Carburetor heater off
3. Open power full (2500 rpm)
4. Apply right rudder to maintain wing level & ball center
5. Stop sink, check speed 80 mph/70 knots
6. Set nose to climb back to initial altitude
7. Trim the A/C

Slow Flight descend to Cruise


1. Open power to 2100 rpm
2. Apply right rudder to maintain wing level & ball center
3. Flap 10up
4. Set the nose to cruising attitude
5. Trim the A/C
SHALLOW TURN - 10
NORMAL TURN - 15
MEDIUM TURN - 30

4. Wing level & ball center
5. Flaps 30/full down

9. Maintain heading & altitude (check VSI=0 fpm)
10. Check speed approaching dirty stall speed 49 mph/43 knots

Recovery:
1. Lower the nose positive below horizon
2. Carburetor heater off
3. Open power full (2500 rpm)
4. Apply right rudder to maintain wing level & ball center
5. Check speed:
60 mph/52 knots: flaps up from 30-20
65 mph/57 knots: flaps up from 20-10
70 mph/60 knots: flaps full up
6. Speed 75 mph/65 knots
7. Set nose to climb back to initial altitude
8. Trim the A/C

After stall check:

75 mph/65 knots: climb back to initial altitude

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE at START


A. Oil pressure fail to indicate
1. Within 30 sec the OIL PRESSURE should be indicated
2. If not, cancel start by pulling the mixture control handle
3. Report to the mechanics
B. Engine fire
Continue cranking, then followed by:
1. Mixture
2. Throttle
3. Fuel valve
4. All electrical switches
5. Use fire extinguisher
6. Abandon A/C into the wind

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE
DURING TAKE-OFF
(Just After Airborne)
A. Engine fails
1. Decide to land again
2. Close throttle smoothly
3. Maintain heading or keep straight
4. Apply brake if necessary, till the A/C stops
5. Complete the final check list
6. Call tower and explain the trouble
7. Cancel the flight

B. Engine fire

1. After start-turn on Radio & ADF system-turn to correct frequencies
2. If there is no sound on Tx or Rx, try to reselect or re-tune to other freq.

5. If there is still no sound, cancel the flight
D. Radio transmitter (Tx) fails
1. RTB by following the traffic
2. Keep listening, watch for tower instruction & traffic
3. Switch on the landing light on final approach
4. Make a safe landing and cancel the flight

1. Decide to land again


2. Mixture idle cut off
3. Maintain heading or keep straight
4. Apply brake if necessary, till the A/C stops
5. Try to turn the A/C into tail wind position
6. Complete the final check list
7. Call tower and explain the trouble
8. Use fire extinguisher if necessary
9. Cancel the flight

C. Air speed indicator fail


1. During T/O run, if there is no air speed indicator:
Close throttle
Apply brakes
Cancel the flight
2. Do an external check:
Static holes & pitot tube should be cleared from water or dust

D. Radio receiver (Rx) fails


1. Watch the traffic and explain in the trouble (Blind Transmision)
2. Make a low pattern (500 ft), fly along the R/W by rocking wing several times
3. Report your position 2-3 times by mention I say again
4. Make a safe landing and cancel the flight

4. Fly side slip by means of cross control
5. Do final cockpit check & use fire extinguisher
6. Select the best field
7. Try to land the A/C safely, use flaps as necessary
8. Abandon the A/C into the wind
9. Cancel the flight

C. Air speed indicator fail


1. Continue flying
2. Watch the A/C attitude and power setting
3. RTB by following the tower (ATC) instruction
4. Make a normal approach and landing
5. After parking the A/C, do external check & report to technician
