ABSTRACT
This study aimed to develop a computerized system for the Anastrophe Christian
School that will help minimize the problems that the school encounters most specially in
keeping and organizing the academic records of the students.
In the development of the proposed study, the researcher used the waterfall model
as the software process model. The researcher gathered information through interview.
The programming language that was used by the researcher in developing the proposed
system was the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition and the database
software that was used for the systems database was MySQL.
The Cost Benefit Analysis shows the Break-Even point of the proposed system
occurs between years 1 and 2, specifically at 1.19 years. The Automated Grading System
of Anastrophe Christian School was evaluated by the end users, Chairman and panel
members of the defense panel as Excellent as supported by the mean rating of 4.97.

This shows that the proposed system is technically and functionally feasible. Thus, it
meets the requirements of the end users.
The following are the findings of the study: a) in saving and updating students
grades, the Anastrophe Christian School used the paper-based or the manual way of
collecting data. Certain data collected such as the criteria scores is written in a class
record. Their files of student information were kept in a filing cabinet and it was not well
organized and is also prone to lose; b) in retrieving students grades, the teacher asks
some key information from the student like student ID number and name as the basis for
manually searching the records from the file cabinet; and c) in generation of Form 138,
the Anastrophe Christian School used the paper-based and the manual way of generating
students report like the Form 138. Every quarter, the subject teacher submits the grades
of the students to the adviser which were validated at the Principals Office. Thus, the
adviser records the grade in their Form 138.
The researcher concluded that the Automated Grading System of Anastrophe
Christian School is a solution to ease the processes of saving, retrieving and updating
students grades as well as the generation of reports.
The researcher highly recommends the implementation of the computer-based
Grading System for the Anastrophe Christian School and further recommends that the
end users will undergo briefing/training for them get familiarized with the operations as
well as the use of the computerized system. There should be personnel in charge of
maintaining the Automated Grading System and a good back up habit is recommended.
For further study, the researcher recommends an archive system in which records
filed in the filing cabinet is being scanned and stored in a database that is constantly
backed up.

The researcher also recommends an upgrade on the computer system of the school
for faster operation of the Automated System.
