Faith 5 Bible Verses for April 2015

This month the Gospel passages are from Jesus Sermon on the Mount, the longest collection of
Jesus teaching in the New Testament. Parents are encouraged to read the whole Sermon
(Matthew, chapters 5, 6 & 7) at least once to have a sense of the whole picture.

Sunday

Jesus said, Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Mt 5:3

Monday

For I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is the power of God for salvation to everyone
who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God
is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, The one who is righteous will live
by faith.
Romans 1:16-17

Tuesday

Jesus said, Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5

Wednesday

Be still, and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in
the earth.
Psalm 46:10

Thursday

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9

Friday

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.

Saturday

Jesus said, In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see
your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Sunday

Jesus said, So when you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your
brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go;
first be reconciled to your brother or sister, and then come and offer your gift. Mt.5:23

Monday

There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

Tuesday

Jesus said, Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not refuse anyone who wants
to borrow from you.

Wednesday

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the
shadow of your wings I will take refuge, until the destroying storms pass by. Psalm 57:1

Thursday

Jesus said, But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Matthew 5:44

Friday

Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct,
in love, in faith, in purity.

Saturday

Thursday

Jesus said, You give good gifts to your children; how much more your Heavenly Father
does so.

All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction,
and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient,
equipped for every good work.
