D) HOMEWORK:
Homework (HW) will be given on Thursday and due the next Thursday after class unless
instructed otherwise. HW will be posted and will be due sequentially. One or more problems
will be chosen from the assigned problem set at random for grading. The problems to be
graded will not be announced. Late problems will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Solutions will be posted.
E) EXAMS:
It is planned that three exams will be given in the course and dates will be announced
approximately one week prior to the exam. Exams will be closed book and notes; however,
one 8 X 11 help sheet will be allowed for each exam. The help sheet is intended for use
as a reference for formulas and must be handwritten only. Exams will be multiple-choice
and you will need to bring your own Scantron. The customized colored UCF Test Scoring
Test Forms that show the UCF Pegasus logo are required by Academic Computing Support
and can be purchased from the Bookstore on Campus. Further information will be given
before each exam. The final Exam is comprehensive.
F) EXCUSAL FROM EXAMS OR ASSIGNMENTS:
Unexcused absence from an exam will be given a zero on that exam. If an emergency arises
and a student cannot take an exam on the scheduled date, the student MUST contact and give
notification to the instructor immediately. It must be an emergency situation, and written
excuses from a doctor or equivalent are required. Please notify the instructor ASAP if there
is any type of exam conflict.
G) LECTURE NOTES:
You are expected to take notes in class on any material that is covered; not all material may
be available in book or in posted information.
