Trust and communication in professional networks

Thank you very much for your willingness to participate in the research on the use of
professional networks. The main objective of this research is to obtain a better understanding of
how MBA students rely on their professional networks( such as : colleagues and friends) to
obtain information and support they need in order to succeed. We are leading a research project
investigating how MBA students interact and develop trustworthy relationships with others to
succeed. Moreover, we are focusing on how key contacts and network relationships can assist
members of professional network to achieve better performance/succeed.
This information is being collected as a part of research project concerned with building trust in
virtual networks by the Centre of Trust, Peace and Social Relations, Coventry University and
Centre for Advanced Studies in Management, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management.
The information which you will supply and that which may be collected as part of the research
project will be entered into a database and will only be accessed by authorised personal involved
in the project. The information will be retained by the Coventry University and Leipzig graduate
school of Management and will only be used for the purpose of the research.
By supplying this information you are consenting to the University storing your information for
the purpose stated above. The information will be processed by the Coventry University in
accordance with the provisions of Data Protection Act 1998. No identifiable personal data will be
published. Full confidentiality and anonymity is paramount for the ethical conduct of the
research.

-I confirm that I have read and understood the participant information leaflet for this study. I
have had the opportunity to ask questions if necessary and have had these answered
satisfactorily.
- I understand that my participation is voluntary and that I am free to withdraw from the study
within two weeks from the date of interview without giving any reason. If I withdraw my data
will be removed from the study and will be destroyed.
- I understand that personal data and company data will be processed for the purposes detailed
above, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
