The Role
Working towards an individual sales target you will be expected to be resourceful and self motivated.
Sourcing and canvassing new clients to introduce to our portfolio and in-turn being proactive and creative
in inding solutions to their advertising and marketing needs. This will run in sync with the ongoing
management of existing, established clients, ensuring they are receiving the best possible value from our

The Person
As a Field Sales Representative you will need to be self motivated and driven towards achieving revenue
targets. Conidence in working under your own initiative is essential, although there will be occasions that
you are required to work on team projects.
Time management is key to this role, along with being able to adhere to rigid deadlines. Previous sales
and/or customer service experience could be advantageous, although this is not an essential requirement as
a comprehensive training programme is in place.

The performance all-rounder with quality

SINCE the end of production for the bombastic 1M
a few years ago, the M135i
has been the hottest 1 Series you can get. It has won
itself quite a cult following
in that time, billed as the
everymans
performance
car; a sort of Golf GTI for
people who want more
sports car credibility.
This model has been given
the latest family styling updates, so its a whole load
prettier than its immediate
ancestor, despite how similar they are under the skin.
Burnt orange is the perfect colour for the visually
sharpened M135i. Its face
has been neatened, replacing the divisive Rocky after
12 rounds look with better
proportions and instantly
more appeal.
The blue brake calipers
on this car set the body
colour off beautifully. In
three-door mould its a really good-looking thing.
Choosing three doors instead of five brings with it
obvious compromise. Its a
fair old stretch back to grab
the seat belt, for a start, al-

though theres absolutely

loads of adjustment in
the driving position. The
ride quality is pretty good
on the admittedly smooth
Portuguese test route, but
theres eventually an impasse between outright
bump-absorption and body
control.
When it comes to price
versus performance, compare the everymans everycar, the Volkswagen Golf
GTI, to the M135i. For not
that much more outlay
the gulf in acceleration
is shocking. The BMW is
hugely, ferociously fast
through the lower ratios of
its manual gearbox, crushing overtakes with brutal
speed.
You could pay less for
similar performance, but
its rivals just dont have
the same mix of thuggishly
entertaining driving manners, marvellous refinement on request and proper
sports car noise.
Drivers looking for a performance all-rounder will
struggle to find a better
choice than this BMW. Its

compact enough to throw

around, big enough to support a young family, and
close enough to the price of
an expensive Volkswagen
to feel extremely tempting.

Capable sporting image packed with kit

AS much as the diesel versions
will be the biggest sellers in
Jaguars all-new XE range,
its image and standing in the
car park pecking order will be
largely down to its sporting
image, which for the moment
is down to the top-spec S version.
Powered by the same 3.0-litre
supercharged V6 petrol unit
used in the F-Type S, the XE
S has 335bhp and 332lb.ft of
torque and sends all that power
to the rear wheels through the
eight-speed automatic transmission offered elsewhere in
the range. It gains adaptive
suspension and larger brakes
as standard too.
Already a good-looking car,
the XE looks even more attractive in S guise. Nineteen-inch
alloy wheels are standard with
optional 18 or 20-inch versions
too, and with subtle side skirts
plus resculpted bumpers front
and rear it looks sporting and
aggressive but not over the
top. The same goes for the inside with flashes of colour and
aluminium, plus suede trim.
The S brand as a step below
the top performance bracket is
still in its infancy for Jaguar
but the good work done by the
F-Type models has established
its credibility. Rather than being simply a badge and some
bigger wheels, the S designation clearly denotes genuine
performance and handling.
There are no compromises
between the S model and other versions of the XE, so the
space on offer is well up with

the key class competitors. The

seats are excellent, with standard electric adjustment and
enhance support, and its easy
for front seat occupants to get
comfortable with good head
and legroom.
Its easy to think of the XE S
as a stop gap before the really
hot V8-powered R models arrive, but anyone shopping for
a performance saloon right
now needs to give this one
some serious consideration.
Its sufficiently luxurious and
comfortable in everyday driving but is great fun to drive
and enormously capable when
pressing on.
Summed up in a one word:
Jaguar. If this car was a default choice you wouldnt complain one bit.
