Purpose:

You will participate in a series of events and discussions with leadership from the U.S. Olympic
Committee as part of the groups day-long visit to Boston.
Event Background:
Throughout the day, Boston 2024 will delineate why Boston is the strongest, most reliable partner for
the U.S. Olympic Committee to bring the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games back to the United
States in 2024. The agenda will reinforce that Boston is a perfect-sized, walkable city uniquely
positioned to deliver innovative, sustainable Games of the future and will provide the best possible
experience for the Olympic family. The visit will demonstrate Bostons unified support from and
formidable collaboration with the citys community of government, business and civic leaders. Finally,
the visit will reiterate that Boston, in partnership with the USOC, can and will prevail with the
International Olympic Committee.
The schedule for the day is divided into specific segments outlined below, and a detailed schedule is
attached hereto.
Meet USOC at Four Seasons Hotel

You will meet Larry Probst, Scott Blackmun, Patrick Sandusky, Chris Sullivan and Doug Arnot for a brief
greeting at their hotel and proceed to the MIT Media Lab as a group.

You will join Senate President Therese Murray, Massachusetts Institute of Technology President Rafael
Reif, elected officials, business and community leaders, college and university officials, Olympians and
Paralympians and members of the Boston 2024 Executive Committee for a breakfast to officially kick
off the visit. You will have the opportunity to provide brief remarks during the program.

technological advances invented and reinvented at the MIT Media Lab and across the Boston region
into the planning and execution of the 2024 Games and beyond.
Discussion: Bostons Colleges and Universities Will Promote Olympism and Propel the Olympic
Movement

You will participate in a discussion with leaders of Boston-area colleges and universities. The
conversation will feature Bostons distinctive ability to leverage its higher education community to
support Boston 2024s master plan, promote the Olympic Movement and inspire the worlds youth to
