Started its journey since 1970 under the
Faculty of Commerce
Commenced with 8 teachers and 140
students
Now swelled to over 1,500 students and 37
current teaching staffs
It offers BBA, MBA, MBA (Evening), M. Phil
and Ph.D. degrees to the students
Contributes to develop theoretical concepts
and practical techniques

Background of MPA Program


The need for professional accountants is growing
up
This vacancy is filling out by the foreign
professionals and we are loosing currency
After assessing the local and foreign demand the
department of Accounting & Information Systems
feels the necessity of introducing program that can
significantly contribute nationally and
internationally
This is for the first time we are launching the
Masters in Professional Accounting (MPA)
program in Bangladesh

Anyone can pursue for this Program who has A bachelor degree.

financial, cost and managerial accounting courses.
A comprehensive case study is introduced to align the
academic knowledge of the candidates with the real

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is also
introduced to facilitate continuous professional
development
CPD is aimed to enhance contemporary knowledge base
of the candidates and will be required by few courses
as a passing requirement
