Elasticity

Cylindrical-conical form

EASYPOST is a composite combination of an epoxy resin

Our wide experience with pivots enables us to utilise

the dimensions best adapted to the anatomy of root
canals, even very small canals.

matrix reinforced with silicon fibres enriched with zircon.

With a longitudinal modulus of elasticity and a shear
strength close to that of dentine, its mechanical properties
are ideal for a homogeneous reconstruction which minimises the risks of root fracture.

Easy extraction
Simple procedure by central cutting under spray
using a long necked tungsten carbide spherical bur
(Maillefer REF E 0205 LN ISO 006). Then progressive
enlargement using enlarging drills and completion
with a corresponding EASYPOST finishing drill
(Maillefer REF C 0601).

The cylindrical part

is easily adjusted in length
using a diamond disc.
Its slightly pointed extremity eliminates any piston effect
when sealing.

Biocompatibility
EASYPOST is certified non-cytotoxic (ISO standard 10993-5).
It is chemically inert and thus eliminating all corrosion
and bimetallic effects.

Radio opacity
Visualisation and post-operative
monitoring.

Sterilisation
Can be autoclaved.

Canal adhesion
EASYPOST s properties of chemical adhesion to the sealing
and reconstruction composites renders the presence
of mechanical retentions such as metallic
pivots unnecessary. EASYPOST can be
used with all coronal reconstruction
composites, with all adhesive
bonding agents and with
all sealing systems using
resinous bonding elements.

Simple
and fast pro c e d u re

1
Canal preparation.

4
Complete crown preparation.
Be careful to have at least 2 mm
dentin ferrule in preparation.

7
Cleaning the pivot in alcohol.

2
Predrilling using Largo drill
REF A 0009 No.1 or No. 2
according to diameters
(800-1200 rpm).

5
Adjusting the pivot length outside
the mouth, using
a diamond
disk.

8
Mix cement and apply a coat on the
post (silanization is not necessary).
We recommend the use of
DENTSPLYS DYRACT CEM cement
or a resin cement used with the
acid-etch/dentin bonding agent
technique. The use of DENTSPLYS
PRIME & B OND NT dental adhesive
is recommended. Please follow the
manufacturers instructions for use.

3
Precision drilling using gauge drill
REF C 0601 No.1, No. 2,
No. 3 or No. 4 as required.
(1000 2000 rpm).

6
Cleaning and drying the canal.

9
Coronal part.
Reconstruction of a prosthetic
stump.

C reativity in the serv i c e

of dentistry
Elasticity approximates to that of the dentine; for a perfectly homogeneous reconstruction.
High proportion of unidirectional silicon fibres, guaranteeing high strength,
impregnated with an epoxy resin to assist shock absorption.
Radio opacity.
Fast and simple procedure.
Easy extraction.
