Last phase is The Return Home
When you go through challenges, have successes, easy to get stuck in Liminal
phase
When you come out with Elixir That Will Restore the World:
Everyone's an asshole
Try to go out, they think you're an asshole
Someone caring, pulls you out
There are phases along this journey
1. When you look around and things are not working out = Shit Hitting
the Fan
You get woken up - The Call to Adventure
You hate yourself, the world, don't know what going on
Easy to get STUCK here
You can feel the power within, but you look around and the inside/outside don't
match
Initiation is the overarching principle of the Hero's Journey
Life is NOT linear, it consistently smacks you back down so you can get up
again
When shit hit's the fan it's because the universe has expectations for you
Can look at it and say Damn, life's hard, woah OR
You must have a lot of faith in me
Like a barbell that is JUST too heavy to lift
Being a victim of your circumstance or not is a CHOICE
2. Next would be finding a ritual elder
In this day and age will come in MANY forms
DVD set, Book, Videos
These produce what are called AHA Moments
Recognize these as quantum leaps in consciousness
You are literally growing stronger, different person in that moment
3. Next is Trial and Tribulations
4. Next is Success
Things are hard, if you keep at it, and keep the right perspectives it comes full
circle
Must put yourself in the flow of nature if we get out of the wa, it'll take us
where we need to go
What is a cherry without the cupcake
Become the strongest version, AND inspire (empower) others to do the same
Inhalation & exhalation THE balance, just put yourself into said flow
Take all that you have grown (power, sense of being, what you love/ have
nourished) and your cup spilleth over
Power comes in the form of money today
Money is metaphysical power
TECHNOLOGY IS LITERAL MAGIC
If your actions are of the wrong sentiment, it'll show up in your magic

BRANCH #1 THE WAY OF INITIATION

LIFE IS INITIATION
Crisis OR Opportunity:
Awareness of the Archetype of Initiation
Archetype = metaphysical patterns that recur throughout mankind
This archetype is GOING TO HAPPEN
Whether or not you are the form or not, it'll happen to someone else
Archetypes show up ALL THE TIME in unconscious patterns of activity

Acknowledged? Respected? Facilitated?

Our ancestors had rituals to support the process
Ceremonies are what's left of what was the initiation of the CULTURE/TIME
Initiation MUST match the needs of the CULTURE/TIME
Killing a lion won't help you serve anyone in this day/age

What to wear?

Should I marry her?

PHASES OF INITIATION
Pre-liminal (Profane Life 1) NORMAL LIFE
Anxious, restless, overly sensitive, dissatisfied w/ social location and status,
depressed
The Call to Adventure - Campbell
Crisis (Shit hits the fan)
Liminal (Sacred space) TOTAL CONFUSION ABOUT SELF AND VALUES
Submissive, resigned, autonomy relinquished, power of personal agency
disregarded, degradation mechanics accepted
Descent into the zone of magnified power - Campbell (Every choice made is
magnified)
Grief process, unemployment
Post-liminal (Profane Life 2) A STRONGER MORE INTEGRATED VERSION
OF MYSELF
Exhaled, personal status enhanced and dramatized, sense of autonomy re-

appropriated, powers of personal agency reaffirmed

Return with the elixir that will restore the world - Campbell
Reintegration, adaption to new MORE situation
You can be in different phases in diferent areas of your life
Until you balance ALL (KWML) you're not truly balanced
Don't be attached to image of what you want to be doing
We as a species wil be far more advanced (technology = magic) giving rise to
many new options, be open to possibilities

INITIATION REQUIREMENTS
Sacred Space
Physical/Metaphysical/Both?
Holding one is as simple as allowing yourself to receive something as sacred
Something becoming sacred is a choice regardless of if it actually is
Place/Object/Mantra/Behavior/Attitude/High powered water/Metaphysical space
of meditation and permission and self love
Mentor OR Elder
We all need help
You must allow yourself to submit to a trusted elder as he will hold your
sacred space and facilitate the initiation process
Your mentor ISN'T someone there right now pointing you along the way with his
hand on your back
It comes in the form of info, ideas, circumstances resourceful for the direction
you're going
Initiation Process
Specific to dominant culture and the individual
Killing a lion doesn't make sense in time/age
OUR PROCESS is becoming healthy (mentally/physically - strongest version of
ourselves)
3 requirements for successful initiation:
You've decided that you want something different for your life. You know that
freedom is of the highest value to you, and you know you need money You
know you need a NONJOB
How, when, what why we want and to LOVE it
Core values aligned with attitude aligned with vision
Someone comes along and SINGs the exact song you need to hear. They
become one of many mentors you will meet on your journey
This mentor begins your initiation by sharing a process with you, creating space
for your growth, and being there as a guide while you get your footing
Actually DO the THING instead of letting it stop at the head
There's no process in the head
Take note of names and give grititude not necessarily the FORM but the
ARCHETYPE moving through that person

Success is a PROCESS the successive realization of a worthy goal
You've proven to be strong and courageous by overcoming trials and challenges
You have achieved a new state of mastery With a new found level of mastery
comes a new stage of awareness, opening up even GREATER possibilities

Confident Approach
You finally get the hang of it, you are approaching mastery

You are put to the test, and you show that you have achieved a new STATE of

JOURNEY HOME
With a higher vantage point, you see the possibilities for even more growth and
personal power But before going any further, you must fight one last dragon.

Road Block (disillusion with success)
We have worldly success bu it doesn't seem like enough. There is more to it
than this, and you're determined to discover what that is

You discover and make peace with the split off shadow parts of your persona.
You'll even learn how to integrate your new power so that it supports you in a
positive way rather than self-sabatoge. eating your shadow - Campbell
You're not done because you achieved a level of success, manipulative

Shadow: Tyrant king, overaggressive warrior, needy lover, manipulative
magician
Positive and negative shadows AND fully embodied version
Eating shadow involves seeing ROOTs of this shadow behavior, FACE IT head on,
INTEGRATE it into your character
